Various myths and legends are circulating about the Moscow metro. And all due to the fact that such a structure in itself is unusual for a person, because he himself is not used to living underground. So it seems to him that someone else should live there.
As it turned out, in other countries the metro also has its own legends.
Mutants from New York
The subway in New York is one of the largest. However, most likely no one knows what the length of all its paths and branches is. People disappear here every year.
Disappearances usually occur at a later time when the stations are empty. Some people disappear after walking along the paths. Therefore, the myth has developed that mutants live in the subway. Locals call them moles. They believe that these underground inhabitants cannot stand sunlight.
Allegedly, they live in underground cities, and feed on people who are caught from the surface. In 1993, journalists even conducted their own investigation on the subway. However, they did not find any mutants, but there really was an underground city. There were many people in the abandoned tunnels - criminals, psychos, homeless people, drug addicts and alcoholics. After that, measures were taken to evict the city. However, after a few years it became clear that everything remained in that place.

Troglodytes from London
The London Underground is considered the oldest in all of Europe (built in 1863). It has been rebuilt many times, so it has many abandoned stations and tunnels.
Killer rats live here. They are twice their size, well organized and aggressive. Sewer pigs also live here, it is not clear how they got here. But people claim that the troglodytes are the most incredible locals.
They were born underground and hardly ever come to the surface. It is believed that these are the descendants of Irish workers who fell under the rubble in 1890. The workers did not make it out, and people forgot about the branch they were building. According to some, troglodytes eat rats, waste and people who accidentally get to them. But due to severe hunger, sometimes they are not averse to feasting on each other. True, no one has ever seen these residents.
Substance in Toronto
The Toronto Subway runs right above the ancient city of the Marlocs, the underground inhabitants. Locals believe that if you meet them, they will not be able to return. Some eyewitnesses said that they realized about their presence because of the characteristic sounds.
In 2015, a strange phenomenon occurred - an unknown liquid with an unpleasant odor flooded the tunnel. The movement of trains stopped for a while. People never stopped talking about the fact that this liquid is plasma, but this has never been proven.
Underground life in different countries goes on as usual. People love different legends, which are sometimes confirmed by incomprehensible phenomena.
