Calling aliens "little green men" has long been a classic of the genre, even in reputable publications. Ufologists, on the other hand, most often come across stories about gray aliens.

But from time to time you come across stories about meetings with a little blue-blue man. Who he is is unknown. Maybe a new kind of aliens, or maybe something from the category of gnomes or trolls.

The first known meeting of this kind dates from 1967 and took place in the Studham Common area, Bedfordshire, England. She was covered in an article in the March 3 issue of the local newspaper Dunstable Gazette, and later a more detailed article with eyewitness interviews appeared in the major ufological magazine The Flying Saucer Review.

On February 28, 1967, a group of six boys played on their way to a school in the countryside. The day was cloudy and it was raining, but there was no thunder and no lightning. And suddenly, very close to the children, lightning of an unusual blue color flashed brightly, and then an even more surreal event happened.

Immediately after being struck by blue lightning, 10-year-old Alex Butler saw a 3-foot (91 cm) man under the bushes nearby. He was completely blue and even had a blue beard. At the same time, the little man looked on the whole like an ordinary person, and he was dressed in something like an overalls with a black belt and on his head was either a helmet or a hat. A small black box hung on the front belt.

Surprised Alex called the other boys and they crowded in amazement in a semicircle around the blue man. When one of the children wanted to touch the little man, he stepped back and immediately disappeared into a cloud of blue smoke. The children began to look around where he could go, and soon they found the same little man under the same bush. And he disappeared into the haze again, as soon as they got closer.

This continued several more times, until the boys found themselves next to the neighboring thickets of bushes, from which strange sounds were suddenly heard.

Then the children ran to school and told their class teacher Miss Newcomb about everything. Although the woman did not believe their story, she asked each of the six boys to describe what they saw for themselves. Later, all these descriptions, which turned out to be practically similar, were published in a book dedicated to this meeting called "The Little Blue Man On Studham Common".

Many years later, Dutch anomalous researcher Theo Paigemans became very interested in this case and wanted more details. But it suddenly turned out that it was no longer possible to find the very book where all the stories of the children were laid out in detail.

By a strange coincidence, he did not find a single copy either on his hands or in the libraries, as if they had all been destroyed. It also turned out to be impossible to find at least one of the six matured children, their traces were lost. In the end, only a few newspaper and magazine articles remained in the story of this incident.

This is not the first incident about meeting a little blue man, but we will talk about others in the next article.
