So not far from the city of Ica, an impressive collection of unusual stones has been collected. It is worth noting that the first mentions of black stones with images of strange animals in this area of Peru date back to the 16th century.
"Ica Stone Library" is a huge number of stones (about 50 thousand) covered with drawings.
They are river andesite boulders, the size and weight of which differ significantly.
Andesite is a very hard igneous rock of volcanic origin.
Some weigh no more than 20 grams and are only a few centimeters long. Others weigh up to half a ton, and sizes up to one meter.

Scientists managed to establish a more or less exact age of their finds. It turned out that the Ica stones are at least 50,000 years old. Although some researchers are sure that the depicted drawings on the stones demonstrate how our planet looked 17 million years ago.
The conclusions obtained were unambiguous: the surface of the andesite, including the grooves of the drawings, is covered with a thin natural layer of patina resulting from prolonged oxidation processes, which is indisputable evidence of their antiquity.
The stones depict scenes from the life of the Indians who previously inhabited this land. The mystery lies in the images themselves, in which you can see something that does not at all correspond to the modern understanding of the history of the world.
The most common pictures are dinosaur dragons.
At the same time, some of them are tamed by people, also painted on stones, and some are hunted.
Also a frequent image is the image of a flying animal or bird, which is skillfully controlled by a person.
There are also plots of operations to change the heart from a young person to an elderly person. It is interesting that all stages of the operations are depicted quite colorfully. There are pictures showing diagrams of the structure of human organs and organ systems.
The third most common picture is the image of an ancient scientist-astronomer who looks into space through a telescope.
There are also images of the starry sky, constellations and even geographical maps of other planets.
Many scientists are inclined to think that these stones are a kind of library, with the help of which the ancient people tried to transfer the accumulated knowledge to their ancestors.
