The global capitalist society is in depression. Scientists' plans for space exploration, the construction of underwater cities and the victory over death quietly recede into the background. The broad masses no longer believe that apple trees will bloom on Mars someday. Transhumanism is becoming the only center for the crystallization of people's hopes for a brighter future. Transhumanism is a philosophical concept, as well as an international movement, supporting the use of the achievements of science and technology to improve the mental and physical capabilities of a person.
The question is, what will this future be? The international transhumanist movement is already very heterogeneous. There was a noticeable split between techno-fascists and techno-communists. Techno-fascists want to use the achievements of scientific progress in order to modernize themselves and perpetuate their dominance over the masses, who are deprived of access to high technology. Their ideal is a hierarchically structured society, divided into immortal highly developed beings and powerless primitive slaves serving their hedonistic interests.
Techno-communists are irreconcilable ideological opponents of techno-fascists. It was the predecessors of the communists - the utopian socialists Thomas More, Tommaso Campanella, Saint-Simon who first spoke of the need to create a New Man. After coming to power, the Bolsheviks started talking about the same thing - the need to create a New Man for a communist society. Such famous Bolsheviks as A. Bogdanov and A. Lunacharsky spoke about this. A. Gastev, the founder of the Central Institute of Labor (CIT), can be considered the real Soviet predecessor of techno-communism. A. Gastev, before any transhumanists, spoke about the cyborgization of man. He believed that it was necessary to "mechanize" a person, to bring him closer to a machine in order to increase the efficiency of labor processes. Techno-Communists are the successors of the Bolsheviks' undertakings,which were impossible to implement due to the insufficient level of technology development. But they want to use the achievements of scientific progress in order to improve the life of every person living on our planet. Their ideal is a society based on equality in rights and self-government from below, where everyone's work is an honor. They know that only with the help of high technologies mankind will finally be able to make a leap from the realm of necessity to the realm of freedom, as F. Our future depends only on us. Will our future have large projects, a great Person who has access to technologies to change worlds and improve himself? Or we will get a triumph of pride, laziness and ignorance, when a bunch of ghouls will gain an impenetrable advantage over the stupid masses, will be able to dispose of them at their discretion and sit in this position for a little less than forever. Or maybe we will generally slide into the new Middle Ages?
We have questions for the current transhumanist movement, especially its techno-fascist part. But our criticism is carried out from the position of techno-communists, for whom progress is the greatest value.
Unfortunately, criticism of transhumanism in society is now conducted mainly from a conservative standpoint. Radical Christians, Muslims and Buddhists criticize both techno-fascists and techno-communists at the same time, uniting them all under one name. Thus, they consciously take the position of enemies of technological progress, and therefore enemies of humanity.
