As the BBC reports with reference to the Chilean Ministry of Defense, a military plane with 38 people on board disappeared without a trace on the way to Antarctica. Among the missing are 17 crew members and 21 passengers.
The C-130 Hercules transport plane departed from Punta Arenas on December 9 at 16:55 local time (19:55 GMT) and the operators lost contact with it shortly after 18:00 (21:00). No alarms have been activated.
The plane took off to provide logistical support for the military base on King George Island in Antarctica - personnel were to check the fuel line and other equipment at the Chilean base.
Chilean Air Force General Eduardo Mosqueira told local media that the plane did not activate the distress signal. The general also said that the plane, the pilot of which has a lot of experience, may have been forced to land after running out of fuel.
According to an official Chilean Air Force statement, contact with the aircraft was lost when the plane flew about 450 miles of its 770-mile journey. This happened somewhere in the Drake Passage area.
Drake Passage is a passage connecting the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. It is known for its dangerous weather conditions. But the Chilean Air Force said the area was fine at the time of the plane's disappearance.
Chilean President Sebastian Piñera tweeted that he was "alarmed" by the loss and was following the situation in the country's capital, Santiago. Search and rescue mission is in progress.

If the Chilean Air Force plane were lost somewhere over Chilean territory, it would be an exclusively regional event that concerns only Chile. However, Antarctica, where the plane was heading, changes everything radically.

Perhaps this is due to the fact that secret alien bases are located in Antarctica, perhaps there is an entrance to the "Hollow Earth" or even Antarctica is just an ice wall surrounding the "Flat Earth".
In general, there are many theories on this score, but any of them more or less explains the incident by the fact that the C-130, for some reason, was simply not allowed into Antarctica. For example, the "Martians" did not recognize it, or the pilot of the plane forgot the secret password, which was supposed to be communicated to the destroyers patrolling around Antarctica. As a result, he was shot down.
The second important point is that in recent years the Earth has been going through what might be called “preparation for the pole shift”. The lithosphere is shaking, the magnetic poles are shifting at a speed of about 800 kilometers a year, some unthinkable anomalies are happening to the weather. Naturally, these anomalies also affect the planet's electromagnetic field, the lines of force of which converge, and just somewhere in the Antarctic region. Hence, it is natural that the "Hercules" could fly into one of these anomalies, which led to the failure of all electronics on board.
Finally, a third, hardcore conspiracy theory is possible, which explains the situation. According to this version, there may not have been any plane, and all world newspapers simply cover the incident in order to put on display the numbers 38, 17, 21, which carry the main semantic load, but only the initiated can interpret them.
At the moment, there is little information about this accident, so it is too early to choose from the proposed versions and it remains only to follow the development of events.
