Almost a quarter of Russians (23%) expect contact of representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations with people in the next half century, the Public Opinion Research Foundation said on Cosmonautics Day following a survey.
“There are three times more people who believe that this contact will benefit the earthlings than those who are convinced of the opposite. Mainly, this benefit will consist in the fact that it will be possible to learn something from them: “they are smart, once they arrived, they could,” “perhaps they will share their acquired experience,” the sociologists found out.

The survey was conducted on March 30-31 among 1.5 thousand respondents in 100 settlements of the country.
