“I named him Roman,” says Larisa Motornaya, a neurologist. - We cannot diagnose any injuries in this person! Roman is healthy, but he only remembers himself since July 15 - when he entered our office. Before going to the hospital, the man walked for a very long time. He has calluses on his feet.
- All I remember is the road and the sign: "Port". My head ached terribly, I felt sick. I spent the whole night on the seashore and only in the morning learned from the fishermen that the city in which I found myself was called Mariupol. The fishermen told how to get to the hospital, - says Roman. He has been in the ward for three weeks. Nobody missed him. And he doesn't know who to look for.
- Daughters … I see them small. Wife? I do not remember. When I try to remember something, my left hand goes numb. I only know that I worked.
Now Roman is caring for bed neighbors in the ward. He is also very hard-working - he repaired a broken sink in the ward, a folding bed brought by one of the patients' wives. In a word, he tries to be useful.
This is the second case of mysterious amnesia this summer. The first victim was virtually the same age as Roman - the deputy of the Izmail City Council Vyacheslav Rabota (48 years old). He went to Kiev to heal his leg and ended up in Vladivostok (Russia). How Vyacheslav covered 10 thousand kilometers remains a mystery.
Why do they lose memory
