Another thing is that this data about you is simply stored "just in case", and even if it is used, then only to create effective advertising, prevent epidemics, man-made disasters, and so on.
Today, artificial intelligence is increasingly used precisely to prevent tragedies, for example, terrorist attacks, unforeseen accidents, large crowds of people and much more, which can be foreseen and predicted in advance, which means it can be changed for the better.
Therefore, total surveillance of people using modern means of communication and analysis of all this huge mass of information using AI, on the one hand, is good, on the other, it allows someone who has the levers of this surveillance in their hands to use them for their own selfish purposes …

Is this possible? Scientists who are currently developing programs for monitoring people using artificial intelligence argue that while it is too early to fear such total surveillance, after all, AI is not the Almighty, without whose knowledge a hair from a human head will not fall, as believers say. But this is what is surprising, say the same developers of ever-increasing capabilities of artificial intelligence, even if you take deeply religious people who are convinced that their every breath is controlled by higher powers, for some reason they are not too upset about this. Moreover, they constantly commit unseemly acts against the background of such "impeccable and all-encompassing control", although they are well aware of the inevitable punishment for this. And nevertheless, even they, when they learn about total surveillance by modern, quite real AI,fall into despair (or resentment, who likes which).

It seems to me, writes one of the users of the English-speaking segment of the Internet, that religious people (for the most part) do not really believe in God and retribution for their sins. But control by God is perceived as normal, because even if He sees our fall, our sins, He will understand and forgive everything. But a person (and the AI created by him, as a product of the Devil) will not understand anything and in no case will forgive.
