Then the Cold War began. The world was in anticipation of the Third World War. The same war could be called “Nuclear War. This war could destroy all life on Earth. However, nothing happened. Now, although there is some tension between the countries, it never comes to a nuclear war.
Is it true that we just got lucky? Is it true that people still learned to restrain their ambitions, despite having two world wars in a row?
However, what if someone simply prevents us from unleashing this war?
Nowadays, you can often hear rumors that UFOs have been seen in places where wars are waged.
Also over developed countries, you can also very often see UFOs. Especially over the United States. In other words, it looks like intelligence is being conducted.
And what if these UFOs are responsible for preventing these countries from starting a war. There are so many UFOs flying over the United States because it is the most armed country. It needs serious control.

Imagine that we are sitting in these UFOs from the future. Why do we need to prevent nuclear war? Of course, so that the world in the past is not destroyed. Otherwise, we simply will not appear. Pretty decent reason, isn't it.

Perhaps we are constantly being watched by people from the future. And this means that someday, we or our descendants will be following people from the past.
We cannot stop all the wars of the past. However, we can stop those that will definitely lead to the destruction of the world. At the same time, no one will interfere with saving the world. Since in the version of the future where the world died, no one survived. This means that there is simply no one to defend this variant of the future. In other words, time allows only to save the world, not to destroy it. If we ourselves try to harm the world from the past, then people from a more distant future may prevent us. And so on ad infinitum.
Perhaps the fact that our civilization has not yet died out is not at all an accident. Time itself protects us. It is it that allows us to defend ourselves.
Wars are not our only problem in the past. The world could have been destroyed in the past both because of the eruption of supervolcanoes and because of the fall of an asteroid and other cataclysms.
If a time machine is ever invented, isn't it worth pondering: could people in the past survive on their own? Could they have survived by accident? Or it might still be worth intervening.
