The tragedy of Igor Dyatlov's group arouses deep interest even after 59 years. Entire communities have been created around this topic, there are various foundations and social groups. All of them are trying to solve the mystery of the tragic death of a group of Ural tourists.
But the secret was never revealed. To date, all attempts to discover the truth have failed. No one in the world came close, even a step, to understanding what was happening at the Dyatlov pass back in 1959.
However, not everything is so hopeless. There is one very interesting material to which I constantly return. So far, that he did not disappoint me. I mean photographs taken by Dyatlov's group. Now the photos are scattered across different sources. But it is still possible to find scanned photocopies on the Internet.
I was interested in two photographs. One was on tape number 6 under number 26. This tape is a team. There are different hikes on it. One was a collective one in a large group of tourists, there are also photographs taken in the city of Serov. The second trip, the one from which the group never returned. There are very interesting objects in the photo. By the way, the photo itself is partially damaged. Therefore, I had to lighten the general background a little so that the objects would acquire clarity. In the photo there is a forest, sledges are standing in the forest (the runners have successfully hit the frame), a dead man is lying on the sledges on a board. His head is clearly visible in the photograph.
As I understand it, this is a Mansi hunter (or shaman). He was left in the forest, since this method of burial has been practiced since ancient times in the existence of these northern peoples. Perhaps it was wrapped in a hide, or some kind of cloth. And then (not clear) someone took it out for a photograph. Perhaps this was done by the Dyatlovites themselves. It seems to me that this treatment of the deceased could greatly displease the local shamans. Which then led to a brutal murder.
By the way, after the exhumation of April 12, 2018, descriptions of Semyon Zolotarev's injuries appeared. So, all the injuries were of a criminal and violent nature. That completely exclude any cause of death, except for a banal murder. So that they died at the hands of those who were very angry with their disrespect towards the burial of the shaman-hunter.
The second photograph from film number 1 is there at number 12. The group is in a hotel in the city of Ivdel. Rifle cartridges are on the table, and a large knife is in the corner. A machete type, with a very long blade and a wide handle. If the cartridges can be disputed, although they are clearly visible in the photograph. That knife cannot be denied. Consequently, the Dyatlov group was well armed, which refutes the allegations of their defenselessness. However, this weapon did not save them from a group of criminals who attacked them at night.
