The dream to understand the nature of time and to learn how to control it was as strong in man as the desire to fly to the stars. We have already been outside the Earth, but we still cannot travel in time of our own free will, but only obeying someone's unknown will.
Incredible flight
A scoop of time travel was made in 1996 in the British weekly The Independent Wording. On the lawn near the house of a certain Martha Crawford, a fighter with tail number P-0327 "Curtiss", which was in service with the Americans during the Second World War, made an emergency landing. The plane was badly damaged - the fuselage was punctured in seven places, the fuel tanks only miraculously remained intact.
Martha Crawford was the first in the plane, she also found the pilot. The young man in military uniform was very pale and could hardly stand, and his speech was more like the delirium of a seriously ill man: he stubbornly repeated about the fight with the fascist aces and demanded that he be put on the phone with the regiment commander. The amazed woman took him to the house and called a doctor who, after examining the pilot, immediately contacted the military hospital, where they both departed after a while.
As journalists managed to find out, at the hospital, the pilot, who introduced himself as John Walker, persistently repeated the same story. He claimed to be a lieutenant in the American Air Force and that on April 9, 1944, he flew out on a mission with a cover squadron. Three "Messerschmitts" imposed a battle on him, Walker shot down one of the opponents, but the forces were unequal, and his car lost control over the Pas-de-Calais. The pilot was about to jump out of the plane with a parachute when a bright flash of light and sudden silence literally paralyzed him. When he woke up, the car was rushing to the ground in a steep dive, there was dead silence in the headphones, our and other people's planes disappeared somewhere. Miraculously, he managed to level the plane, reach the shore and, in a semi-conscious state, land the car with empty tanks in a field.
The air defense of Great Britain actually detected an object that was approaching from the Pas-de-Calais towards the coast of England at low altitude. The pilot of the plane did not respond to requests from the ground service, and then completely disappeared from the radar and only a day later was found near the house of M. Crawford.
Even more interesting information was obtained by the journalist James O'Hara. Having combed all the available archives, he collected the following information: the aircraft with tail number P-0327 was part of the 123rd covering squadron and disappeared without a trace on April 9, 1944 after an air battle with three enemy aircraft. The photograph of the pilot, who was actually named John Walker, leaves no doubt that the 25-year-old US Air Force lieutenant who disappeared in 1944 and the man who landed in the UK in 1996 are the same person. And the damage to the plane's skin, which the journalist examined personally, was absolutely fresh. O'Hare had no doubt that only a few hours had passed since the attack on the plane, not 52 years.

Nevertheless, the official version of what happened is this: 25-year-old amateur pilot John Walker, the owner of the restored Curtiss aircraft, suffers from schizophrenia, exacerbated by a complete loss of memory that happened to him during one of the flights. The mental disorder developed against the backdrop of a maniacal fascination with the history of aviation, so all his claims that he was a pilot of the USAF during the Second World War should be considered nothing more than a manifestation of the disease. Nothing is known about the further fate of John Walker, who was placed for treatment in a specialized clinic, but it, undoubtedly, turned out better than the fate of the actor William Green.
Die before birth
William Green, a young, up-and-coming actor, took part in the filming of Ben Hur as a stuntman. The shooting took place near the town of Culver City in California in 1925, and during the famous chariot race, the young stuntman disappeared without a trace, literally vanished in front of the film crew. Despite the mysterious nature of the incident, they did not attach much importance to it. The search for the actor did not last long: he did not have a family, and the film crew had to move to another place.
This whole story would have remained in oblivion, if not for the find of American archaeologists, who discovered the body of the missing actor not somewhere, but under a thick layer of frozen lava in ancient Pompeii! The body was identified thanks to a well-preserved steel bracelet on the left wrist. The name of the actor, the year of filming and the name of the film are clearly visible on the bracelet. All of this would look like a hoax, if you do not take into account the fact that it is almost impossible to do the action. necessary for its implementation. Here's how Frank Ramane comments on it. head of the group of archaeologists. who worked on excavations in Pompeii: “The excavation of Pompeii is a carefully guarded place, absolutely incredible. so that someone could drag a corpse there and quietly do all the necessary manipulations. And it is technically impossible to place a body under a six-meter layer of lava”.
The eruption of Vesuvius, which ended the existence of ancient Pompeii. happened in 79 AD. It is completely inexplicable by what force and for what purpose the unfortunate actor William Green was transported not only from one continent to another, but also into the distant past, in order to die an agonizing death under streams of hot lava 1900 years before his birth.
Doppelgenger - a visitor from the future
A variety of versions have been put forward about the nature of the appearance of twins: perhaps this is a reflection of the aura or the astral body, which appears in this world with warnings. The ability to create doubles was possessed by some strong witches or magicians, who used them for any errands or to create their own alibis. So why not admit that the doubles are ourselves who have come from the future? This would explain the material structure of these doppelgengers, as the doppelgangers were called in the Middle Ages. After all, astral bodies are most often presented as translucent ghostly figures, certainly not capable of giving a thrashing to their reflection.
Be that as it may, time travel is not a safe business, and perhaps it would be better if they remained in the realm of fantasy. But irrepressible human curiosity requires the ability to at least look into the past, even without the ability to change anything there.
Pulling back the veil
And such an opportunity has already been found! According to Genrikh Silanov, chairman of the Voronezh Committee for the Study of Anomalous Phenomena, living beings and other material objects leave their traces in a special spectrum of electromagnetic radiation of the earth's crust. And under certain conditions, these emissions are so strong that they can be recorded on a sensitive photographic film. This phenomenon was called by Silanov "field memory". The photographs taken by enthusiasts show a variety of objects that simply could not be in the frame at the time of shooting. So, in the picture of an old poplar with a broken off top, its live lush crown is clearly visible. And among the branches and grass in a forest glade, the face of the artist Vladimir Sevastyanov is clearly visible, who two years earlier took part in the expedition and pitched his tent in this place. This amazing collection also contains photographs from older times: here is a soldier in a helmet sitting in a trench, next to a machine gun and a sapper shovel. Or a tank built during the Civil War, standing on the banks of the river.
Unfortunately, almost all of these shots are random and most images are blurry. Conditions that affect image quality remain unknown. But the members of the Committee do not give up the hope of learning to artificially stimulate the memory of the field with the help of special equipment, they are working on improving the methods of photography, and, perhaps, thanks to their efforts, we will be able to lift the foggy curtain of time and see with our own eyes the affairs of bygone days.
