Officers from the General Police Department of the English County of Greater Manchester have published a detailed report of calls from citizens complaining of paranormalism. Law enforcement officers told about all last year's cases when compatriots called them in order to deal with ghosts, snowmen, aliens, vampires, witches, monsters, werewolves, zombies, two-meter insects and the like devilry.
According to the British freedom of information law, local civil servants are required to provide, at the request of citizens, any data regarding their activities. Journalists from the local tabloid Daily Paragraph asked law enforcement officials how often Greater Manchester residents call the police and complain about various supernatural threats. It turned out that in 2015 there were over four hundred such calls, while last year was a record for the number of such calls. Here are some of the more interesting ones.
Supernatural or Invented?
In February, a citizen contacted the police, claiming that he had been abducted by aliens. Many bruises and scratches were found on the man's body, the origin of which he could only explain by torture on an alien ship.

In April, a pensioner called law enforcement officers and said that “some kind of black muck” appeared from the wall in her bedroom at night. Policemen visited the elderly woman's home, but found nothing suspicious. However, the woman assured them that this was actually happening and that she needed a night police officer.
In May, an eight-year-old girl called one of the county police stations, claiming that unknown people “stole the skin” of her father and mother, and are now pretending to be them. The guardians of the law considered that the child could be in danger, and left on call. The girl's parents showed the police officers their IDs and said that their daughter simply had a strong imagination.
In August, there was a call from a man who said that he was in a parallel dimension and could not go back, while the phone was his only connection with our world. The precinct officers were not really able to trace the call, so they assumed it was from a telephone booth and was a simple prank. However, if it turned out to be true, they still could not help the unfortunate man.
In September, a girl contacted the police, claiming that she was practicing black magic and with her help plans to destroy a lot of people. The citizen was arrested on suspicion of preparing for a terrorist attack or mass murder, but a day later she was released under the guardianship of a psychiatrist.
The police are powerless over the supernatural
In October, a man contacted the police who introduced himself as a citizen who had tragically died several months earlier. He asked the policemen to tell his wife and children that he loved them very much and missed them. This was perhaps the only case that is difficult to explain rationally. The fact is that the police called the indicated address and found out that this Briton actually died in a car accident at the end of last year. While the police officer was talking on the phone with his wife, the man mysteriously disappeared …
According to law enforcement officers, in most cases they still deal with telephone hooliganism, bored elderly British and mentally ill people, but some of the calls still give off a real mystique. And individual cases simply cannot be explained by anything other than paranormalism. Only people in this case turn to them to the wrong address: the police are unable to fight against otherworldly forces, mysterious monsters, aliens and have not yet learned how to penetrate parallel worlds …
