Although many scientists vehemently deny the possibility of time travel, it does happen, and most often it doesn't even require a time machine to do it. People suddenly just find themselves in someone else's time, and then just as unexpectedly come back.

LIVING "GHOSTS" OF THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES

On August 10, 1901, two elderly English teachers Charlotte Moberly and Eleanor Jordan, after spending a week in Paris, decided to visit Versailles. By 4 o'clock in the afternoon, they examined the Grand Palace of Versailles and decided to take a look at the Petit Trianon, a small palace that Queen Marie Antoinette was very fond of, for the sake of completeness.

The ladies figured out in which side of the park this building was located, and headed in this direction, hoping that the visitors of Versailles met on the way would help them to clarify the location of the palace. However, this part of the park was for some reason absolutely deserted, a strange silence frightened a little, which was not disturbed by either the singing of birds or the chirping of grasshoppers. Finally they met two strangely dressed men in green uniforms and cocked hats. The teachers addressed them in French and asked how to get to the Little Trianon. They looked in amazement at the clothes of the Englishwomen and gestured in the direction they needed.

This meeting surprised the teachers as well; they had a strange feeling of the unreality of everything that was happening. Then they saw a small cottage, from the door of which a woman came out with a jug of milk and gave it to a little girl.

Then they came across a gazebo, on its steps an ominous-looking man with a face pitted with smallpox was sitting. He was wearing a cloak and a wide-brimmed hat adorned his head. He looked at the women, but did not say anything to them, and they hurried to pass by.

Then they met another man in a raincoat and a hat, he was clearly in a hurry somewhere, almost ran; shouting something to them in French, the stranger rushed past. The British women passed a small wooden bridge, next to which was a small waterfall. Finally, the travelers saw the Little Trianon ahead. On the steps of this palace, a beautiful woman with a high haircut in a rich old dress was sitting with an album in her hands, she was making some sketches.

The teachers went up to the terrace of the palace and began to look for an entrance. Then a young man came out of the outbuilding next to the palace, he warmly bowed to the ladies and volunteered to accompany them, but literally a couple of seconds later he suddenly disappeared, as if he had disappeared into thin air. Immediately the British women saw the wedding procession, to their relief, it was made up of normal people in modern costumes. And everything around seemed to have changed, some extraneous noises, chirping of birds were heard, the world seemed to return to its former framework.

Then they discussed their unusual adventure in Versailles for a long time, the teachers did not even exclude the possibility that they saw ghosts during it. Three months later, Moberly and Jordan (each individually) even described everything they saw in Versailles on that memorable day, August 10th. They had come to Versailles more than once, but they never experienced anything like what happened to them on that memorable day. There was no bridge, no waterfall, no gazebo, where they met a man with traces of smallpox on his face.

When historians became interested in this case, they found a plan for Versailles Park at the end of the 18th century and were amazed to find that the British women saw various structures that actually existed at that time, but by the beginning of the 20th century either completely disappeared or survived only in fragments.

After that, historians more closely analyzed the memories of English teachers, and the most daring of them came to a sensational conclusion - in some incomprehensible way, these elderly ladies managed to visit the past. That beautiful woman who was painting something on the steps of the palace was Marie Antoinette herself, and the man with the disfigured face of smallpox was her confidant - the Comte de Vaudreil (he actually had such a face disfigured by the disease). It was even possible to assume a specific day in which the British women found themselves, "plunging" into the past - October 5, 1789. It was on this day that an armed crowd was moving from Paris to Versailles, and the breathless man whom the teachers met ran to the palace to report the impending danger.

TRAVELERS 'TRACKS IN TIME?

So, despite the fact that many scientists deny the possibility of time travel, two elderly English women somehow made it. They clearly did not see the chronomyrage; people of the time in which they found themselves reacted to their presence in the past. It is curious that at the moment a lot of facts have accumulated that make it possible to assert the reality of time travel. For example, a number of researchers consider so-called anomalous fossils to be concrete evidence of time travel. A lot of such finds have already accumulated - either a hammer or a bolt will be found in rocks hundreds of millions of years old, or a gold chain or a nail will be found in coal.

Of course, such finds can be interpreted in different ways, some researchers, for example, consider them to be evidence of the existence of a civilization that died from the cataclysm in time immemorial, others associate them with visits to our planet by aliens. However, there are findings to which such explanations hardly fit.

It is difficult to imagine that aliens could have left a women's Swiss watch in a 400-year-old Chinese burial … How did they get there? Only one conclusion suggests itself - this is the watch of some time traveler. Whether she gave them or her watch was taken away from her, whether she returned to her time or died 400 years ago - these are secondary questions, the main thing is that she somehow ended up in the wrong time.

It is also difficult to explain how among the remains of the Musketeers who died in the seven-year war of 1756-1763 and recovered from the ground in 2000 by archaeologists were fragments of a mobile phone released in 1998. There is, however, one hypothesis about the spontaneous teleportation of objects; if you believe her, then due to some processes we still do not know, objects can disappear from one place and find themselves in a completely different one. In my opinion, such a hypothesis looks even more incredible than the assumption of time travel, most likely, it was invented by some "Masha-confused" who forget where they left this or that thing, and then are very surprised to find it in a completely inappropriate location.

Recently, the media have repeatedly demonstrated other very clear evidence of time travel, discovered by researchers of anomalous phenomena. First, there is a photograph titled "South Fork Bridge Reopened After the November 1940 Flood." On her right, among the crowd of old-fashioned onlookers, a tall man in fashionable black glasses stands out sharply, holding a modern compact camera in his hands. He stands out from the crowd not only with dark glasses and a camera, but also with his clothes, much more suitable for the late 20th - early 21st centuries. Examination of this photograph has shown that it is genuine and has no photomontage. Of course, this photo was immediately dubbed documentary evidence of time travel, allegedly in the picture the photographer of the 40s managed to accidentally capture a real guest from the future.

Apparently, after this photo, which has become very popular, many began to look closely at old photographs and newsreel footage. Soon, in a newsreel dedicated to the premiere of Charlie Chaplin's film "Circus", it was possible to find a woman walking down the street, holding her hand to her ear and actively communicating with someone. There is no one next to the lady, so they immediately assumed that the woman was talking on a mobile phone (samsung galaxy s4). Of course, in 1928, when Circus was released in the cinema, there were no cell phones, so the woman was immediately dubbed a time traveler.

What about this documentary evidence? On the Internet, among the discussions of the picture about the opening of the bridge, I found quite convincing arguments, the essence of which is that there is nothing supernatural in this photo - both glasses of this type, and a jumper with an emblem, and a similar camera already existed at that time. It was just that a rather fashionable and advanced guy at that time got into the crowd. In our time, we also come across "specimens" that, against the background of the total mass, may seem like aliens from the future, or even aliens in general … As for the lady with a mobile phone, this, of course, at first glance is very impressive, only then you start to think on the technical side of the issue. Who could she communicate with? With another time traveler? And how, if at that time the infrastructure for signal transmission was completely absent?

VETERAN OF NUCLEAR WAR

It seems that time travel is often performed without any technical devices, people simply "fall" into the past or the future, completely unexpected for themselves. A similar incident happened in 1992 with the Italian Bruno Leone, who disappeared right in front of his wife during their walk together. The confused woman immediately went to the police, but there she was considered abnormal and was advised to see a psychiatrist. Fortunately, Bruno returned two days later, looking very tired and confused. And it is not surprising, because the Italian who disappeared in the XX century suddenly moved into the future for five centuries …

In the future, he did not feel very comfortable, finding himself in the role of a curiosity among equally dressed distant descendants. When he was able to explain that he was from Italy, this circumstance caused them great amazement, because, according to them, such a country ceased to exist in the 21st century. The city of the future seemed to Bruno uncomfortable and hostile, there was not a single old building familiar to him, not a single tree or bush grew.

Food in the future did not differ in variety, it was replaced by some colorless jellyfish-like jelly, it was tasteless, although it very quickly satisfied hunger. After Leone was treated to such an "incomparable" dinner, the descendants decided to show him the safest places where he could survive the upcoming cataclysms in the 21st century. Alas, it was at this moment that Bruno suddenly moved into his own time. According to him, from the reliable "islands of security" only Mongolia was shown to him.

Ten years after this incident with an Italian in South Africa, a very unusual old woman entered one of the cafes. She was completely bald, and her face was disfigured with scars and sores. The strange visitor was wearing a translucent jumpsuit made of plastic-like material. The old woman smacked her lips with pleasure, ate a few glasses of ice cream and emptied a couple of bottles of Coca-Cola. Then she calmly got up and went to the exit. The waiter ran after her and blocked the old woman's way, demanding payment from her.

This legal requirement caused a real fit of rage in the visitor, she began to shout that she would complain to the International Committee, which granted her, as a survivor of a nuclear disaster, the right to free meals in any institution on the planet. The enraged old woman repeated the same to the policeman called by the waiter. The guard of the law demanded her documents, she thrust a plastic card with her holographic photograph under his nose, it bore the date of birth - 2198 … The amazed policeman decided to take the old woman to the police station, but when he took her to the car, she suddenly disappeared.

But with a 10-year-old time traveler who found himself in 1987 in Hong Kong, we managed to communicate much longer. At first, no one could understand him, then it turned out that the boy speaks ancient Chinese. A professor has been summoned who can communicate in this forgotten language. He managed to find out that the strange child is the son of a dignitary of the Chinese emperor of the 9th century … The scientist was delighted with the details of life and customs of the imperial palace, which he managed to learn, he hoped to learn even more, but his interlocutor suddenly disappeared.

Soon, in one of the monasteries, a manuscript of the 9th century was found, where the continuation of this whole story was found. The manuscript described the incident with the son of a noble dignitary who went into a cave and disappeared. He returned a year later and began to talk about all sorts of miracles - flying iron birds, houses touching the clouds, about his trip "in a long serpent."

There are no less than two dozen similar stories about sudden movements in time, many of them have been documented. How does this movement take place, what is its physical mechanism? Scientists have yet to answer these questions.
