The historical region of Zemgale is located in the southern part of Latvia, where the ancient Baltic Semigallian tribe once lived. This area has become famous for the Pokaini town and its forest. It is this place that is considered almost the most mystical in Latvia. The Pokain forest is called an anomalous zone that affects the electromagnetic field of the entire planet.
Now the forest in Pokaini is popular with tourists not only from Latvia, people come here from different parts of the world. Someone comes here with the hope of being cured of diseases. According to another version, the forest in Latvia is associated with cosmic and underground energies. In general, for the first time, science became aware of forest anomalies in the mid-70s of the last century. Then, while studying the military activity of the USSR, NASA satellites discovered an incredibly powerful source of underground radiation. Now the forest has a developed tourist infrastructure with paths, signs, a parking lot and a ticket office. For a walk in the forest, it is better to use the services of a guide or at least buy a map. And in no case should you take stones from here as a keepsake.
