Ghost cars are a widespread type of ghost. They appear unexpectedly on the road, usually rushing at high speed. Outwardly, they look like real cars. Some of them travel without a driver. Drivers, meeting with them, try to swerve to avoid an accident. Sometimes this leads to a collision with other machines, which results in injury or death. Some ghost cars are associated with tragic accidents or already reputable haunted places. Nothing is known about the origin of a number of ghost cars, but they have been observed by different people for a long period of time: these ghosts always appear on the same sections of the road and always rush at great speed.

On the night of June 15, 1934, a young man, driving in the North Kensington area, London, suddenly saw that a bus was rushing towards him, which was about to collide with him. Headlights flashing brightly, the bus drove at full speed towards the intersection of St. Mark's and Cambridge Gardens. The young man managed to turn, but collided with another car and crashed to death. This bus was supposedly a ghost bus. He is reported to have appeared at the site for a number of years, causing many accidents. Other drivers got off much easier while trying to dodge the bus. One said there was no driver behind the wheel of the ghost bus.

Around Christmas, a ghost truck appears on the Lam-berchest-Frant Highway in Kent. Sometimes it happens during the day. The truck forces other drivers to pull off the road. In 1960, one truck, trying to avoid a collision with a ghost truck, even rolled over, but its driver survived. The driver carefully examined everything around, but did not find any traces of another car. This ghost truck is also reported to have a habit of unexpectedly turning around and entering the oncoming lane.

In the area near the Rubayo Woods Forest, near Chicago, a place famous for its many ghosts, many ghost cars frighten people at dusk and at night. Ghost cars and trucks are reportedly often seen on or near Midlothian Turnpike and disappear as soon as they pass the cemetery. Drivers say that they often encounter ghost cars in this place, which continue to appear here today. Some of them even hear the sound of breaking glass and the grinding of metal. On examination, no traces of another car were found. There are, however, no legends about accidents or road accidents that could somehow explain the presence of ghost cars in this place.
