The oldest Kamasutra belongs not to the Hindus, but to the Egyptians. A 3,000-year-old papyrus was accidentally found in the archives of the Turin Museum. It lay in storerooms for 1.5 centuries and only now experts have appreciated it. The surviving elements clearly show erotic images of couples making love in different poses.
The researchers were interested in one detail that the woman on the papyrus is young and beautiful, but the man is far from perfect: bald and fat. So the ancient Egyptians portrayed the priests, and they, apparently, did not differ in asceticism.
The sexual traditions of the Egyptians were far from modern. In noble families, the cult of pure blood reigned. There was a law according to which the pharaohs could only marry bearers of the royal blood of their forefathers, which is why marriages among siblings were quite frequent, and the ancestor of this tradition was considered the first king and forefather of all Egyptians, the Supreme God Osiris, who married his own sister Isis.
Loyalty and monogamy in Ancient Egypt were not held in high esteem, and the famous Cleopatra especially succeeded in the art of love. Even a disenfranchised slave could share a bed with the queen, although he had to pay for this with his own head, nevertheless, there was no end to those who wanted to. The fame of Cleopatra's "skills" went far beyond the borders of her kingdom.
Due to the fact that the sexual mores of the Egyptians were very free prostitution, as such, did not exist in ancient Egypt. Money for sex had to be paid only to temple servants who, during religious holidays, gratified hundreds of thousands of pilgrims around the clock, but they did not do it for their own enrichment (all the money received went to the improvement of temples).
Freedom of sexual morals and incestuous marriages could not but affect the future of the nation. Pharaohs had heirs with physical deformities, mental disabilities and numerous genetic diseases, and many died in early childhood.
