Scientists have long been trying to develop an "antidote" for Alzheimer's disease. And now a statement was made about a breakthrough in this matter.

Every year, up to seven and a half million cases of this disease are registered in the world, the consequence of which can be senile dementia (Dementia). Several methods of treatment were previously developed, but none of them allowed to overcome the ailment.

In the course of new studies conducted by Australian and American specialists, several proteins have been isolated that affect the development of Alzheimer's disease. Their effect is most noticeable in the elderly. Based on the results of the experiments, a new vaccine has been created, which must be administered to people with an early stage of the disease.

After the drug is injected into the body, the human immune system begins to actively produce antibodies that destroy harmful proteins. If the vaccine does not work, anti-Tau has been developed to help it. When used in pairs, these drugs greatly increase the likelihood of healing.

So far, the created drugs are in laboratory tests. They will be tested on the human body in the near future.
