Once upon a time, a magnificent view of the beautiful gardens in the Nile Valley opened from here. And now the horizon is adorned with only distant city lights, the ancient pyramids of Sakkara, the Sphinx and desert sands, burnt by the rays of the scorching sun.
But why is the queen of all pyramids not like everyone else? Was there always an open platform at its top? Where did the upper pointed part disappear and was it "standard shape"? What pommel could adorn the Great Pyramid? Each researcher has his own opinion on these and many other questions. I will try to tell you about the most interesting theories.
1. Column
The first and second versions are described in a book by the British Egyptologist James Bonwick. He was one of the first to try to unravel the grand design of the monumental structure. In particular, the author refers to Monsieur Dufou, who suggested that there was once a column at the top of the Great Pyramid at Giza.

Unlike the benben, it was supposedly just a huge block of stone, faced, like the entire surface, with slabs of white limestone, polished to a shine. In the rays of the sun, the pyramid looked like a huge sparkling crystal. Subsequently, the inhabitants of Cairo used the facing slabs in the construction of their homes (starting in 1168). The pyramidon was probably stolen at the same time.
6. Earthquakes
One theory is that the top stones fell from the Great Pyramid due to earthquakes.
7. Dielectric antenna
Joseph Farrell, in his book The War Machine of Giza: Weapons of the Apocalypse in Action, suggested that the apex of the Great Pyramid was a "Tesla pulse transformer element" a spherical dielectric antenna, a small copy of the entire pyramid at a scale of 1: 100. The apex was in harmonic resonance with the rest of the pyramid and was constructed "like a conducting crystal of gold, platinum, or corundum."

Soon, the intrigued inventor wrapped an already empty bottle with a piece of damp newspaper.

One of them tried to push his friend. Realizing that the case was gaining threatening momentum, Siemens pointed the bottle directly at the Arab. The guide received a strong electric shock and fell to the ground.
Thinking about what had happened, Siemens came to the conclusion that the aquifer of the valley on which the pyramid is located was an excellent electrical conductor. Passing through this type of sedimentary rock called the aquifer, the waters of the Nile generated a current. From the underground rooms of the pyramid, electricity flowed higher and higher and in its most concentrated form reached the golden room at the top, from where it was distributed according to its intended purpose.
