In light of the large number of publications about interesting places in Malta from the point of view of alternative history, such as various megalithic buildings, an underground "temple", hypogeum, and including paired tracks from some kind of transport, frozen in stone.
I would like to look at the surrounding space, and the following picture opens up to our eyes:
In open sources about the islands it is written: Islands of the Maltese archipelago of mainland origin, these are low limestone plateaus. The relief of the islands is mainly elevated, rocks of limestone in the form of rocks protrude to the surface everywhere and form the local landscape. Most of the island is occupied by low hills, with terraces plowed up for farming. Slightly denser natural vegetation is found only in Gozo. The coastline of the islands is highly indented with numerous coves, bays and rocks.
Those. the terraces were already, as it were, and they were just plowed up, and even then not all and not everywhere (see below), their very origin is modestly silent.

And in parallel with this, there are such wonderful steep banks, as if they came out from under the bucket of a rotary excavator and, again, not everywhere, in other parts of the islands the shores usually look quite normal, with landslides, irregularities and slopes …
