Tom DeLonge is the most famous representative of the celebrity crowd, convinced that aliens have already visited Earth. In order to get in touch with aliens, he left the successful punk rock band Blink-182 and founded a company engaged in space development and UFO research - despite the fact that the musician barely graduated from high school and did not receive higher education at all. Tom, who is ready to discuss contacts with extraterrestrial intelligence even when he is not asked about it, was laughed at until the end of 2017, when suddenly one of his "prophecies" did not come true.
And did not blink an eye
Blink-182 was formed in 1992 in the state of California. Minor boys Tom DeLonge (vocals and guitar), Mark Hoppus (bass) and Scott Raynor (drums, but he did not stay in the band - he was soon replaced by Travis Barker) played home punk rock - the band's first cassette was recorded in the drummer's bedroom. the first performance took place in a bar, where they were not sold alcohol due to their age, and the bassist's sister became the first fan. Success came to Blink-182 in the late 1990s with the release of the album Enema of the State. This disc includes the biggest hits of Blink-182's entire career. And then Delong suddenly decided to take up third-party musical projects, and the team began to stagger, never having time to get on its feet thoroughly. At the end of 2004, Tom refused to go on tour with the group, and a few months later the frontman abandoned Blink-182 altogether.why the musicians had to go on vacation for several years. Delong was working with his new group Angels & Airwaves during this time.
In 2009, the members of Blink-182 realized that they were missing out on their fan base, which had already grown and acquired money, and punk rockers returned to the scene. The band managed to release the sixth album Neighborhoods and the mini-album Dogs Eating Dogs before DeLonge decided to leave the group again in 2015. This time, Tom's colleagues refused to wait another ten years until he deigns to return, and simply replaced him with Matt Skibu.
At this point, Blink-182 and DeLonge parted ways. And the attention of journalists was no longer riveted to rockers, but to Tom and his new ventures - it turned out that he left the group in order to find aliens.

In 2015, Delong founded the media company To The Stars, in which he combined all his creative projects - published books, film (short film Poet Anderson: The Conqueror of Dreams) and Angels & Airwaves. Tom's work by this time is increasingly focused on UFOs and the "mysteries of the universe." He tried to convince journalists that he possesses classified information, allegedly obtained from sources in the US government. In 2016, thanks to the publication of letters from the campaign headquarters of Hillary Clinton by the website Wikileaks, it turned out that DeLonge was trying to interest the Democratic candidate in a project related to the study of aliens.
In March 2017, DeLonge, in collaboration with Peter Levenda, published the book Sekret Machines: Gods, in which he discusses the theory of paleocontact related to the cargo cult - a group of ancient religions that preached the coming of the gods from heaven. This is supposedly evidence that humanity developed thanks to the help of aliens. As conceived by the authors, Sekret Machines: Gods is the first part of a trilogy, which "prepares readers for incredible revelations that follow in the sequels." In the following installments, DeLong will focus on government-documented UFO sightings.
Levenda is known not only for his collaboration with DeLonge - the American published a series of books on the study of occultism by the German Nazis, the "disappearance" of Adolf Hitler and the development of the fascists who moved to Argentina. Levenda is also an ardent admirer of Howard Lovecraft's work. Critics of the writer note that in his works, declared as serious research, there are unacceptable volumes of fiction.

In October 2017, Delong founded To The Stars Academy of Art and Science, his previous company becoming part of the new one. The organization aims to bring together scientists, aerospace engineers and just creative people who will work on the study of new technologies and "unknown facets of science." Without To The Stars academy, the study of these unexplored facets, according to Delong, is bent under pressure from the ubiquitous bureaucrats and skeptics.
The Academy consists of three divisions: Science, Aerospace and Entertainment. The website To The Stars claims that people from the CIA, NASA and the US Department of Defense are involved in the work.
The scientific department is going to discover the world of alternative physics and "human possibilities associated with consciousness." Among his projects are such areas as "Neurocomputer interface", "Database of extraordinary experience of mankind" and "Telepathy". In the latter case, the organization wishes to "study the areas of the brain where this phenomenon occurs and develop methods to improve and use it." To The Stars already has a suitable candidate for this - Harold Puthoff, a former engineer and consultant for NASA, who acted as a consultant to the CIA in the field of psychic perception research in the 1970s. In particular, Puthoff allegedly discovered extrasensory abilities in the famous hoaxer, spoon-flexor Uri Geller and the "astral traveler" Ingo Swann.
While we are living in the XXI century, the Academy of Arts and Science To The Stars lives in the XXV - at least, the members of the organization promise us the future today. “We have assembled a team of experienced and enthusiastic minds to uncover and decipher information that will challenge the scope of traditional theories,” Puthoff says.
The aerospace division looks set to become a competitor to Space X and NASA - of course, after it gets enough investment and a decent talent pool. In the meantime, the most active part is the "Entertainment" department aimed at popularizing the company's ideas among millennials by creating thematic propaganda films, books and songs. The DeLonge name appears on every product in this division.
Tom claims he has informers among senior US government officials. His sources trusted him to gradually educate the Americans. To The Stars takes money for this good deed from the citizens themselves - first of all, visitors to the academy's website are offered to chip in for a bright future (the minimum contribution is $ 200). For a long time, Delong was mistaken for an idiot (the fans of Blink-182 were especially indignant, offended by the musician for exchanging the reunited group for aliens) and idiot, scattering loud statements about the upcoming incredible discoveries. It turned out that from 2007 to 2012, 22 million dollars were spent on the secret program of the Pentagon. Within its framework, flying objects were investigated, the behavior of which did not fit into the well-known laws of physics. Together with the article, the journalists published videos,made by fighter pilots in 2004 off the coast of California. The military discovered an irregularly shaped object flying against the wind at speeds up to 222 kilometers per hour, while rotating contrary to the laws of aerodynamics.
The publication caused a stir in the press, and they looked at Delong with completely different eyes. Moreover, an article from The New York Times mentioned his company - the journalists indicated that the head of the state program for the study of UFOs, Luis Elizondo, who retired in October, moved to work at To The Stars. There, along with Puthoff and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Christopher Mellon, he continues to search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Jim Semivan, who worked for the CIA for 25 years, became the Vice President of To The Stars. The former musician's team also included biochemists, national security experts, inventors, engineers, graduates of Cambridge and Stanford collaborating with the American government. In fact, Delong managed to assemble a team of former special agents,who are eager to continue their work on the study of contacts with extraterrestrial life, despite the fact that the state has lost interest in this venture and abandoned it.

In the meantime, the only activity of To The Stars takes place in the "Entertainment" section, which sponsors the publication of DeLonge's books,filming Delong's films and recording Delong's music.
