So, the city is called Zawiet el-Erian, it is located between El Giza and the village of Abusir el-Melek. In general, there is little information about the city itself, for obvious reasons, but some conclusions can be drawn from what is available.

In the most ancient city, 2 pyramids, as I understand it, were built, one of which was not completed, as well as 5 tombs or mastabas, as they are called in Egypt.

Who built all this - nothing is known. It is believed that one of the pyramids was built by an unknown pharaoh about 5 thousand years ago, but what kind of pharaoh it was and whether he was at all, no facts have been found. At least from the real and proving at least something.

As for the so-called underground part, it is even more interesting there. There is a staircase leading down and from old photographs you can see a huge granite sarcophagus, which was half embedded in the wall. Whether something was found in it is unknown. Although as far as we know, it was empty and most likely never intended for any burial.

Also, according to old images, you can see various strange parts of structures, huge processed megaliths, megalithic walls and much more, which could very likely contradict history.

When exactly the research of the underground city began, I never found, but in 1960, by an amazing coincidence, almost all of the territory of this ancient city was taken as a military base. Already in 1964 all studies and excavations were finally completed and since then no information has appeared.

What was found in the ancient city, now one can only guess, but there is some interesting information from the past.

One of the archaeologists assumed that underground rooms still exist under the pyramid, since once, as far as we know, at the beginning of the 20th century, after rain, almost 2 liters of water disappeared somewhere in half a day from the “burial chamber” room. This mystery has never been solved, at least not officially.

On the other hand, if all these objects are about 5 thousand years old, why were they so heavily covered with sand? In the past, many researchers were interested in these questions and put forward a version that all the pyramids and "tombs" were built more than 10,000 years ago, but obviously, at that time nobody was particularly interested in this.

There is also information that in the construction of the pyramid, processed granite blocks weighing just over 40 tons were used, which, to put it mildly, is surprising.

As a result, the mysterious pyramid with the alleged underground premises and other questions remain unanswered to this day.

Although I believe that all the answers have already been found, is it not just that they completely accidentally decided to make a military base and a closed territory? Such "coincidences" hardly exist.

As a result, now we can only guess what we gave to the study of that area and what we could find there at all. In any case, the public is unlikely to know about it.

In addition, the Egyptian authorities, as I already understood, have always been very sensitive to their ancient secrets and do not want to give their "discovery" to anyone, but rather they will forbid excavations and study everything on their own. I can name at least a few such examples, and unfortunately, this is a fact.
