A resident of Dresden (Germany) filmed an unusual creature swimming in the water on the Elbe River. He posted this picture on his Twitter and later wrote about it on the German site tag24.de, which called the creature in the photo "Dresden Nessie".
54-year-old Torsten Koj recently went for a walk along the banks of the Elbe River as usual when he suddenly noticed something very large and "wriggling" floating in the water. According to the man, the creature reached several meters in length and had a distinct tail, as well as part of the head. Moreover, he did not see any eyes on his head.
“It floated slowly downstream and I immediately thought it was Nessie or something like that. I took out my camera and filmed it. And this is probably the best shot of Nessie ever."
Further, according to Koca, the creature swam for some time on the water, and then dived and never floated to the surface.
If we assume that the part of the body sticking out most above the water is a fin or a tail, then the creature could be a small whale. In the Elbe from the North Sea it is very rare, but sometimes whales do swim. However, it is doubtful that a whale could have swum that far to Dresden without anyone noticing this whale all the way.
Other candidates for identification are a large catfish or a large eel. And someone even assures that it was just a log.
