The mysterious "floating city" was again captured on video by citizens in Jieyang, Guangdong province in China.
The video, which went viral, was uploaded to social media at the end of April and shows an eerie cluster of buildings clearly hovering in the sky above perplexed viewers.
"Interdimensional cities" soaring in the sky have been reported many times in the past. In 2015, thousands of citizens in the same area of China reported seeing a similar floating city, which they said disappeared within minutes. African and British citizens also reported seeing similar cities in the past.

However, the Jiangxi incident was explained by experts who concluded that the phenomena are a natural mirage, an optical illusion called Fata Morgana.
Also in 2015, the "floating city" created confusion among the residents of Foshan, as people watched in amazement as the giant city emerged from nowhere. According to media reports, thousands of people stood still as they watched the "ghost town" in China. The mysterious "city" reportedly had giant skyscrapers and other smaller buildings that are "clearly" visible in the image, social media users say.

But "floating cities" were observed not only in China. Interestingly, similar events were also recorded around the world.
In 2011, hundreds of people from the small border town of Dulali in Daraso, Nigeria claimed to have seen a huge “flying city in the sky”. The "giant floating city" appeared out of nowhere, the whole city was surrounded by a thin cloud, it flew very close to the ground. When different temperatures occur in different layers of the atmosphere, a temperature gradient appears. These different temperatures also mean different densities between layers.
