A small river, flowing through one of the forests in the Carpathian Mountains in eastern Romania, has the fame of an anomalous zone. Locals say that during the Second World War, German positions were located in this forest. Exhausted by thirst and hunger, the soldiers could not get out of the encirclement for about a month, and only this river did not allow them to die of thirst. Old-timers say that in the late afternoon in the forest you can see the silhouettes of soldiers drinking water from the river.
An expedition from France decided to check this information. Finding this place was not an easy task: there was a dense forest around, and the metal detectors were silent, like partisans. But the anomalous place itself found the expedition. The French specialists wanted to capture the silhouettes of the soldiers with a video camera and white noise (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). While specialists were setting up the camp, a huge amount of German rusty cans and ammunition were discovered. The very atmosphere of this coniferous forest turned out to be very gloomy. Despite the fact that it was summer, the forest was dark and damp, and the dead silence caused an inexplicable feeling of fear and anxiety.
But what kind of fear can we talk about, there is serious work ahead. Every evening at sunset, the specialists made a detour of the river, hoping to remove the time-mirage. The chances of removing the anomaly were minimal, but worth the effort. Attempts were unsuccessful, the expedition did not see anything, but there is still a thorough study of the videos ahead.

Returning to their homeland, the members of the expedition began to carefully study and process the records from the anomalous zone. Studying the materials, specialists came across something interesting. In one video, fog appeared, repeating the blurred contours of a person. During the entire time of their stay in the forest, the expedition did not see any fog, or even a small hint of it. It is difficult to say what exactly the video camera recorded. It is noted that this phenomenon lasted exactly one instant. Perhaps it is not for nothing that the locals called this forest "cursed". The expedition is going to go there again to study the anomalous place better.
