In 1961, almost 60 years ago, George Carroll disappeared without a trace from his home in Long Island, Suffolk County, New York.
His children grew up and had children of their own, but no one ever found out what happened to George. However, recently, with the help of a psychic, they were finally able to find at least his remains.
This amazing story is reported by the New York Post.
Michael Carroll is now 57 years old. When his father went missing, he was only 8 months old. He also has two older sisters and a brother. All of them then often asked their mother Dorothy about where their father had gone, but did not receive an answer.
It seemed to the children that their mother was hiding something from them. Something bad happened to their father and maybe their mother knew about it, but didn't want to scare the kids. Therefore, they only secretly among themselves discussed possible versions of what happened to their dad.
In 1998, shortly before Dorothy's death, the house was taken over by Michael. According to one of the children's versions, it was so that their father (mother or someone else) was killed and buried in the basement of his own house.
This version haunted Michael for many years and two years ago he began to explore the basement to clarify everything once and for all.
Promotional video:
Michael enlisted the help of several parapsychologists and psychics and wanted them to check the basement and tell him if there was anything. And then he began to remove the concrete from the floor. Two months ago, he was struck by a stroke and while he was being treated, all the work in the basement slowed down, and then passed on to the shoulders of Michael's two sons.
And then one of the psychics came to the basement and, wandering around the room, stopped in one place and said that he felt “some kind of energy” here.
This place was at the far end and there the floor had not yet been affected, but Michael's sons decided to quit the work they had begun and dig in the place indicated by the psychic. When they notified their father, Michael joined them with a shovel.
Michael Carroll.
It happened the day before Halloween and this, too, had its own part of the mysticism that pervades the whole story. When Michael and his sons dug a hole 3 feet (90 cm) deep, they came across skeletal bones.
Shocked by the find and little doubt that they had found the remains of the missing George Carroll, Michael and his family conferred overnight on how to proceed. And the next day, October 31 - on Halloween, they called the police into the house.
When the police arrived and saw the bones, they immediately said that it was indeed a human skeleton and not the skeleton of a dog or other animal.
While the remains are under investigation by the police and nothing is known about whether he was killed or it was an accident, but Michael is confident that they have finally found his father.
Michael also says that he should probably talk to the older sisters, as he is sure that they know much more about this matter than he does. But so far he cannot even contact them.
Michael's older brother, 61-year-old Stephen Carroll, meanwhile, is simply happy that his children will finally find out that their grandfather has been found.
If the police determine that the remains do indeed belong to the missing George Carroll, the family wants to bury him in the Korean War Veterans Cemetery in Riverhead.
The article, unfortunately, does not say anything about the psychic who helped Michael find the remains. Neither his name nor the details of his activities are indicated.
