"What's in a name?" - the classic of Russian poetry asked in his time. Two centuries later, insurance experts tried to answer this question. After analyzing the relevant statistics, they made a rating of the "most emergency" male and female names.

What are the names of the drivers with CASCO policies who most often get into accidents? It turns out that the first places in the anti-rating of the most "emergency" male drivers in Russia are occupied by Nikita (frequency 51.4%), Albert (48.7%) and Timur (47.7%), and women - Polina (61%), Veronica (60.2%) and Alina (55%). Ruslan, Anton, Valentin, Boris, Grigory, Arthur and Eduard close the top ten among men (in descending order).

Places from fourth to tenth among women were taken, respectively, by Valeria, Alena, Evgeniya, Yana, Elvira, Maria and Vera. Such data is provided by the well-known insurance company "Consent" based on an analysis of statistics on auto hull insurance for 2018 ("frequency" means the number of losses from policyholders with this name for a year, divided by the total number of policies from policyholders with this name) and settled during this period 77,175 losses on motor hull insurance for a total amount of RUB 7.9 billion.

Unlike Polina and Nikita, Anatoly (29.6%), Leonid (31.9%) and Victor (32%), as well as Christina (33.5%), Antonina (36%) and Lilia (36, 4%). Lucky on the road to motorists named Gennady, Eugene, Valery, Vladimir, Alexander, Artem and Ivan. Insurers, whose names are Nadezhda, Olesya, Alexandra, Lyudmila, Margarita, Larisa and Elizaveta, also differ in accuracy.

Moscow "onomastic" statistics are somewhat different from the all-Russian statistics: in the capital, the top five "avid emergency workers" among men were Eduard, Nikita, Valentin, Ruslan and Boris, and among women - Alina, Lydia, Evgenia, Yana and Vera.

In general, it is worth noting that the amazing and sometimes mystical homogeneity of the characters and properties of the bearers of the same name has attracted the attention of researchers of a very different kind for a long time. For example, at the beginning of the last century, the Russian writer, historian and bibliographer Sergei Rudolfovich Mintslov, based on an analysis of the names of prominent personalities of the past, came to the conclusion that among Alekseev, calculating people are most often found, Alexandra, as a rule, are merry people, and Petras are in the majority people are quiet, not loud, but with a firm and stubborn character. While the Sergei are very often the fathers of outstanding people, it is enough to recall the well-known Sergeevichs: the same Pushkin, Griboyedov, Turgenev, Dargomyzhsky, Khrushchev, Gorbachev, Glazunov, Govorukhin - you cannot name them all …

So what happens - you can't escape fate?
