I was always amazed at the ability of people to rewrite history to suit their interests. Thus, European children no longer doubt that the Victory over Nazi Germany is entirely the merit of the United States, England and France. Nicholas II is promoted to a saint, hushing up that he gave orders for mass executions of workers. (1901 -1914) Thousands of victims! So Christians deliberately ignore or forget some points. For example, the only prayer recorded from the words of Jesus is “Our Father”. Who came up with the rest? Churchmen. On what grounds? On this one. Only 200-300 years after Jesus, candles, holy water, weddings were introduced into everyday life … More ceremonies - more donations.

I will say more - the very history of Christ's resurrection has undergone changes. His first followers - "Nazarenes", like all Jews were circumcised, attended synagogues and did not consider Jesus the son of God. Neither before nor after his death. For them, he was only God's chosen one, a "king" who would definitely return and free the Jewish land from Roman oppression. They believed that every worthy person would be resurrected. Jesus is only the first.
And the Messiah himself, although he argued with the Pharisees on various issues, told his disciples about the need to adhere to the Old Testament Jewish commandments. Therefore, the Pharisees had no reason to fear, hate, much less doom the Nazarene leader to death. Nevertheless, the first Christians were persecuted and beaten by the Romans for their belief in the impending change of government and the independence of the province.
