A mathematical analysis of the data available to date has shown that in a few billion years, the eccentricity of Mars' orbit will increase, as a result of which the orbit of the Red Planet will intersect with the orbit of the Earth. As a result, during the next rapprochement of the planet, an inevitable collision awaits.
It should be noted that this has already happened in history. As a result of the collision with the planet Thea, our planet has a natural satellite - the Moon, and Mercury in a similar situation has lost part of its mantle.
