Is the rare video surveillance of two giant herring kings (oarfish) on the banks of the Baj another warning of a strong earthquake that is expected?
2010 in the newspaper The Telegraph there was an article in which a powerful earthquake was predicted due to the sighting of giant herring kings that were found on Japanese beaches.
In March 2011, there was a 9.0 earthquake that struck Japan. And as many already know, it was followed by a tsunami that destroyed several regions of Japan, as well as the Fukushima nuclear power plant. The consequences of the NPP accident are felt today on a global scale.
It should be noted that it is not typical for herring kings to swim to the shores. In fact, as Daily Onigiri writes, “the appearance of the monstrous herring kings is traditionally seen as the harbinger of a powerful earthquake. Because fish usually live at a depth of about 1 km and it is very rare to find them above 200 meters from the surface."
But it happens again, the herring kings are lifted to the surface and reportedly appear to be trying to throw themselves onto a beach along the Isla San Francisco coastline north of La Paz, where they were caught on video.
According to traditional Japanese beliefs, these fish swim to the surface, approach the beaches and show themselves to warn of an impending earthquake. There are also scientific theories that say that animals are more sensitive to movement underground than humans.
Some scientists believe that deep sea fish may be susceptible to movement in seismic faults and act in unusual ways on the eve of tremors. However, most seismologists do not see any scientific connection between these observations of herring kings and earthquakes.
