In the village of Krasny Luch in the Vladimir region, which is 15 kilometers from Orekhovo-Zuev, in the summer of this year, events began to take place that looked more like the plot of a horror film.
The people who live here have been engaged in farming and cattle breeding all their lives, subsistence farming is their daily bread. There are not so many residents, everyone knows each other well, strangers do not come here. And the surrounding forest seemed to be studied up and down. Dogs guarding yards are rare, but in almost every house there are chickens, rabbits, goats and cows.
The first alarm bell rang in early summer, when more than 50 chickens were killed in a house on the outskirts overnight. The corpses bear the same bite marks in the neck and heart, and the bodies themselves remained intact. The unknown beast killed the living creatures, but did not eat anyone and did not even drag away, only strangled and sucked blood. In the following months, events recurred periodically. Poultry and small animals were destroyed by livestock.
Although all incidents happened at night and no one saw the predator, its strength can be judged by the damage inflicted on the courtyard buildings. To reach the victims, he tore down wooden fences, ripping off whole planks, breaking rabbit cages and chicken pens. In some places on the ground, there were paw prints ranging in size from 5 to 8 centimeters, with long thin claws. Iron barriers did not stop them either - the beast was digging under them.
The events that took place in early October made the entire village shudder. Early in the morning Rosa Filippova left the house to milk the goats, and saw three unknown creatures - outwardly similar to dogs, taller than a shepherd dog, of different colors. The rounded muzzles were turned towards the older woman. During a short silent pause, Rosa Pavlovna managed to consider the incredibly huge bellies and whitish glass eyes staring at the pensioner. One larger animal was the first to move slowly towards the hole they had made in the fence, followed by the rest. Five adult goats in the pen and about 50 chickens lay dead. And also on their whole, but bloodless bodies, only bites in the neck and heart.
The next morning the predators came again. This time they were interested in the farm of the neighbors Vladimir and Lyudmila Sokolov. The couple were awakened by the noise in the yard made by extremely agitated pets. The barking of dogs was heard. Going out into the courtyard, they found: five rabbits were dead, most of the cages in which the survivors were, were damaged - traces of the claws and teeth of unknown killers remained. After this, it became clear: a real threat settled in the forest. It was then that the word "chupacabra" was first heard. According to legend, this monster kills animals and sucks their blood.
The descriptions of the mythical creature and real events are painfully similar. Fences and sheds, as it turned out, are not an obstacle for predators. The only thing that scares them is the bright light. Now residents, who still have someone to defend, burn bonfires every night, strengthen fences to scare away and prevent a dangerous beast from entering the territory of households.
Who will protect domestic animals? And most importantly - isn't the beast dangerous for humans? Most have children and grandchildren, many get to work by electric train, the path to which lies through the forest. It is also unknown what risk the bite of this monster carries: neither the predator itself nor its victims were examined for possible diseases. Frightened people called law enforcement officers, but they did nothing - either not believing the residents, or not seeing the criminal, the police did not start doing it.

The administration located in the village of Nagorny, as well as in the Vladimir forestry, learned about the events in Krasniy Luch from us. They were very surprised, they promised not to leave the incident without attention and to comb the forests.
Meanwhile, winter is approaching. Some of the inhabitants of the village live here only in the warm season and are already ready to leave their homes until spring. People and, accordingly, the strength to resist the predator will become less.
