Unusual phenomena may not be mystical, mysterious and necessarily ancient. These days, residents and guests of the Greek city of Etoliko can observe an unusual phenomenon. Part of the coast is covered with dense cobwebs, and at first people did not understand what kind of spider attack happened and whether it was dangerous.
First of all, the plants are shrouded in cobwebs, but in the end “under the blanket of cobwebs,” as the poet would say, there was a large area of the coast. After the alarm sounded on the Internet, local media reached out to scientists for comment.
Scientists, in general, reassured, saying that nothing unusual is happening and this is an ordinary web that tetragnatid spiders weaved. Although it is strange to say this to people who have lived here all their lives, they see such a phenomenon for the first time.
Nevertheless, it is explained that the invasion of these spiders is a seasonal phenomenon and actually occurs every year in the same period of time. It's just that this year there are an unusually large number of spiders due to weather conditions. The researchers emphasize that the invasion of spiders is not dangerous for people and plants.
At the same time, as you can understand, the web, on the one hand, was the result of a large number of spiders, and on the other hand, the reason for their active reproduction. The dense web protects insects from the birds that feed on them, and under the web, reproduction takes place in relative safety.

In general, scientists promise that soon it will all end, and tourists and locals have a chance to photograph a rather unusual phenomenon, which on such a scale is not found everywhere and not every year. Some pictures are mesmerizing with the quirkiness of the resulting "patterns".
