51-year-old Briton Kim Noble amazed psychiatrists - she has more than just a split personality - she combines 20 different people - from an anorexic girl to a boy who writes only in Latin.
The British woman was diagnosed with a rather rare diagnosis called dissociative identity disorder, MIGnews.com reported. For about 40 years, Kim Noble has been suffering from this disease. The experts were simply dumbfounded by her case. This has never happened before in their practice. They encountered patients with two, three, or four different people living in their brains. But 20 characters … That's too much!
For a longer time, Patricia shows herself, who tells the fascinating book "All About Me", in which pieces from Kim's life are chaotically collected. The very same Kim Noble, according to doctors, practically does not exist, although she responds to this name. Instead of Kim, a variety of personalities appear in front of others: a lonely girl Abby, Bonnie's mother with a daughter, a true Roman Catholic Salome, a little boy Diabalus writing only in Latin, a young man of 20 years named Ken, suffering from depression. The period of dissociative identity disorder in Kim is also manifested by the appearance of completely new characters, - note the doctors who are observing Kim.
For many years now, psychiatrists have been studying this strange case. They clearly established that a woman does not reincarnate at all, but really suffers from a rare mental disorder. At the same time, with an effort of will, a woman cannot restrain the personalities in her. For the past six years, the dominant woman in the body is Patricia, who is raising 14-year-old daughter Kim Aimee and running a household.
Patricia strictly ensures that good relations are maintained between Kim and her daughter, and that the girl is brought up in a normal family. But not a single day passes without a couple of more personalities being activated in Kim's body. It looks like "switching channels". Kim is glad at least that there are no aggressive personalities in her. And relatives have long been accustomed to the state of a woman. At times, a woman changes clothes several times a day, or she can go to the store and buy a bunch of toys for the boys. The woman compares the return to her personality to waking up from sleep, which takes about a few seconds, during which the woman cannot understand where she is and who is next to her.
