A strange disease is right … From the Greek "PASSION" - a mental disorder in which the general thinking and sanity of behavior are disturbed. The individual becomes obsessed with "brilliant" ideas and delusions at times. Oddly enough, the disease is not accompanied by hallucinations.
There are no objective reasons for the appearance and development of the disease - the disease is mysterious and unpredictable. Everyone read about the subjective statements of a violation of protein metabolism in the brain, but alas, no one could prove their theory.
Freud's works stated the facts about the delay in sexual development in children at one of the stages, which in a more mature age turned into paranoia. Everyone has heard about the theory of caffeine intoxication - coffee, sleeplessness, psychosis, neuroses, as a result of paranoia.
Degenerative processes of the brain also contribute to the manifestation of the disease, Parkinson's disease, as an example. Do not forget about taking drugs, alcohol, stimulants and antidepressants of all kinds. Depression, isolation, excessive physical exhaustion, low self-esteem are the true precursors and companions of paranoia. The disease is classified as a disease occurring in phases, that is, chronic. Most often, the disease manifests itself in middle age, in some cases in adolescence. These are delusions of persecution, grandeur, constant suspicion and finally banal, baseless jealousy. People suffering from paranoid syndrome are constantly alert, referring to themselves the smallest details of the environment, linking them with a direct or indirect relationship to themselves.
However, it is worth noting that obsessive, "brilliant" ideas are fundamental and one of the most dangerous manifestations in paranoid disorders. After the expiration of time, the patient begins to delirium, most often persectoral delirium (a person constantly feels death, observation, etc.). By linking the obsessive thought, the "brilliant" idea, the patient generates causal-hereditary relationships, which, in one way or another (as it seems to him), relate to his personality from the most negative side. As a rule, society does not accept such theories, since it is unable to determine the source of aggression. The onset of the disease is manifested by scandalism and intractability, especially in the family circle, as the disease progresses, a person constantly complains about politicians, the state, etc. If before the full manifestation of the disease (manifestation) a person had authority, then society for some time can unconsciously accept the ideas of the patient involuntarily, reflecting on his words.
In most cases, the disease manifests itself in excessive suspicion and feelings of persecution, jealousy is no exception. A person does not trust anyone, not relatives, not friends, not a spouse, not even children. For him, all enemies. There is rancor, closeness and even some insanity, since the actions of such people cannot be predicted.
These people tend to make a real elephant out of a fly. Performance and logic, as a rule, are not underestimated, but dissatisfaction with others is constantly growing, alternating with sudden mood swings.
Patients rather actively participate in discussion disputes, criticizing the subject of discussion, in turn, not perceiving personal criticism. Paranoid people consider themselves unrecognized geniuses, define individual competitors and conceal anger for years, up to causing bodily harm to the offender, in history there have been lethal outcomes.

The terminal stages of paranoia are indicated by a decline in physical activity, a decrease in concentration. In rare cases, hearing and smell are affected. The relationship between a man and a woman is more complicated. The jealousy of a schizophrenic is many times stronger than the jealousy of a woman. At some point in life, the patient decides that his spouse is cheating - a new hairstyle, a code on the phone, new clothes - this is hell for the family. Domestic quarrels lead to the infliction of grievous bodily harm, it is at this time that a person needs hospitalization in order to avoid aggravation of the condition. Even after the spouse makes sure of the wife's fidelity, the psychosis does not go away, the person is constantly in tension and looking for negative conspiracies against himself.
A widespread manifestation of paranoia is the discovery of paranormal abilities in oneself, a person believes that all his creations are genius, and he considers people who do not recognize this fact to be dependent and not kind people.
Many paranoid people are creatively developed, but their difference from healthy people is that they try to acquaint the entire Planet with the fruits of their creativity and even in case of complete failure, prove the opposite. Such people are constantly running, hiding, changing jobs, teams in the hope of a New World, which will be subject only to them.
Sometimes, after a while, the sick can start drinking, getting homeless, because the mission of great people (as it seems to them) is to die in the torment of a short life, and after death to receive recognition from the whole world.
The modern stage of psychiatry has not been able to give a complete picture of the disease, respectively, there are no objective methods of diagnosis and treatment. To identify symptoms, long-term monitoring of the patient is necessary. Of course, there are tests, consultations of psychotherapists, finally, the patient's complaints about strange mental states, in the end, family members and close people, but this is very little. Perhaps, over time, the result will appear, but at the moment this is not enough.
Like all mental disorders, paranoia requires immediate treatment in its early stages. Many paranoid people begin to drink alcohol in the initial stages, which is critically prohibited, since withdrawal symptoms aggravate the course of the disease. For treatment, antipsychotics are used that have an anti-delusional effect. Sometimes, with complex treatment, multidirectional therapy is used. Prescribed drugs that improve cerebral circulation and activity, hypnotics and tranquilizers.
The patient should completely abandon alcohol, tea, coffee, cigarettes and other stimulating and intoxicating, adhere to a sleep schedule, and minimally (at the initial stages) play sports and physical education. Family therapy is acceptable, the psychologist must use the methodology of introducing the patient into society, the family, teach not to conflict, adequately perceive disputes, get out of conflict situations.
What else can I say … Observing modern society, one can conclude that we are all somewhat schizophrenic, paranoid and neurotic. Unfortunately, these diseases appear earlier and earlier with each generation. I think getting rid of bad habits, proper nutrition and at least some kind of regime will help us, friends. Do not be ill!
