Canadian resident Dana Negrey has been hearing this unusual low frequency sound 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for ten years now.
At the same time, he assures that the problem is not in his head, but in the fact that sound exists in reality, just that almost no one except him perceives it.
And moreover, the mysterious drone seems to pursue Negrei when trying to move, disappearing for a short time, but then reappearing.
When Dana first heard the sound, he was living in northwest Calgary. In 2012, he moved to Edmonton, but the sound followed him there.
Negrey got into the Canadian media back in 2009, when journalists tried to establish the source of the strange noise in the area of his home in Ranchians, near Calgary.
But despite numerous attempts at audio recording in the home and the surrounding area, they were unable to record anything low-frequency - at a level of 40 hertz and below.

After the sound appeared in Edmonton after the move, the Canadian decided to figure out the problem himself. He worked alongside the local community of acousticians with an engineer and sound expert.

And they managed to find another man in Ranchians named Terry Abramenko, who also suffers from the same strange sound.
The sound that haunts this man may disappear for several hours or days, but then invariably reappears.
Another time, Terry was walking near the house with his wife and from a strong sound he felt sick, he swayed and fell. His wife helped him, she herself does not hear any strange sounds.

When Dana Negrey traveled to Lethbridge and St. Paul in Alberta, he heard this sound there too. But when he came to rest in Jasper National Park and found himself on the Bald Hills Trail, then suddenly he heard absolutely nothing.
So the strange sound is definitely not related to Dana's health. But what then is this attack?
It is curious that Dana's wife does not hear this sound, like Abramenko's wife, but she feels an unusual vibration, like a buzz.
And both Dana and his wife say the sound and buzz gets stronger over the years. For them, all this has already turned into some kind of mystical curse.

With the help of acousticians, Dana was able to record some sounds in Edmonton and Ranchians. According to him, they are the ones who haunt him and they are real, not hallucinations. You can listen to the sound here.
To escape the sounds, Dana tried to build a Faraday cage. This is a housing that blocks electromagnetic radiation such as radio waves, Wi-Fi, cellular signals, and static electricity.
Negrei wanted it to be a steel box in order to be cost effective and portable, so he built a Faraday cage out of wood. Then he wrapped it in a fine mesh netting. The object is about three feet two feet long and four feet high.
True, when he got into it, he heard this buzz again. Now Dana and his assistants continue to work on the cage.

What could it be?
Over the past 10 years, Dana and the acoustics have developed several hypotheses.
Negrei believes this is a man-made phenomenon, either mechanical or electrical, and originated in Alberta in 2008. He also believes that it is not one sound, but a combination of energy sources or noises that a hum creates.
According to Negrei, some say that he may be picking up sounds from aliens. But Negrei thinks this is absurd.
