Some people are known to talk in their sleep. About one in twentieth adults - if we are to call the exact statistics. Scientists have tried to sort out sleep-talk and find out whether to sound the alarm when something like this is found.

In childhood, as the researchers note, people talk in their sleep especially often - this is normal. Too vivid emotions are experienced by the child's brain in a dream, so the speech center is activated, which begins to voice them. However, as we grow older, the corresponding brain mechanisms begin to work more stably, and speech in sleep becomes rare.

However, not all. Some people retain this ability, which, of course, in no small measure frighten their family members and neighbors.

There are two types of speech in a dream - legible, that is, indicating a shallow phase of sleep, and indistinct, arising in delta sleep, when the sleeping person is most difficult to wake up. Most often, however, sleep is accompanied by shallow sleep. In general, scientists do not consider conversation in a dream to be some kind of pathology - this is a strange, but quite common and harmless phenomenon. Which sometimes, nevertheless, may indicate some physiological problems, for example, epilepsy.
