The site change.org is collecting signatures for a petition that requires everyone to be allowed to taste the reddish liquid from a black sarcophagus recently found in Egypt.
The author of the petition was the British Innes McKendrick, who suggested making a carbonated energy cocktail out of the liquid and giving it to everyone who wants to try it. At the moment, the petition has collected over 8,300 signatures.
Untouched by marauders, a sealed giant black granite sarcophagus more than two thousand years old was discovered in early July during construction work under one of the buildings in the Egyptian city of Alexandria.
Later, three damaged mummies were found inside this sarcophagus, which are believed to belong to soldiers who died in an ancient battle.
The mystery of the sealed sarcophagus has generated a lot of rumors in the Egyptian and European media. In Egypt, they started talking about the "curse of the pharaoh" and that the sarcophagus, most likely, had not yet been opened and plundered because of some "evil" contained in it. Some have suggested that the sarcophagus could have belonged to Alexander the Great himself, whose burial place has not yet been found.
