American geneticists have managed to develop a technique that allows you to program in advance a person's entire life.

According to bioengineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, scientists have already mastered editing 2/3 of the elements of the human genome. Experts note that it is difficult to make changes to a large amount of DNA, but, as it turned out, it is possible. Therefore, through such changes, it is possible to build a program for a person's life, adjusting the characteristics of the development and aging of his body.

Changing genes allows you to adjust not only the physical state of the body, but also change its habits, character, food preferences and much more. American experts were able to recode 63% of the genes of E. coli. Now scientists are planning to make them more resistant to viruses, which will save a person from many diseases. Work is already underway to create a single organism with a combined recoded genome. This stage will take several years.

Not all scientists are thrilled that their colleagues are so active in changing genes. In their opinion, it is urgent to create a legislative framework that would regulate the work with human genes.
