If you look at the Mediterranean region, especially in Italy, then earthquakes are, in general, a common thing there. Not that everyone is so familiar that they are not noticed, but I think on occasion they may well be used to move the cabinet, which has grown to the floor, years ago.

And if you also remember Vesuvius, then it is not clear why we like to relax in this region. By the way, did you shake there at least once? I am not, although once I managed to sit on the top of the mountain for almost a week (well, almost), because the serpentine down was endless. We were drunk all the time and often could not get behind the wheel. In fact, they never could, but they had to. Do not call a helicopter with provisions. Firstly, it's expensive, and secondly, I'm not sure that this service was very popular. At least not a single advertising message like “Gathered for groceries? By air faster !! I did not see.

Messina in anticipation of 1908

Messina in anticipation of 1908.

In short! In 1908, according to the official version of history, an earthquake struck Sicily. Not so serious by the standards of Pompeii and Heraklion, but the city was razed to the ground. It was called Messina. Reggio Calabria also fell apart with him.

True, it was significantly smaller, and the name is complex, therefore, officially, it is simply the Messina earthquake.

Messina, like everything in Italy, was very ancient. According to rumors. Historians. There was even a star fortress, such as the Peter and Paul Fortress.

A funny detail! A lot of people died. From 75 to 200 thousand people.

I don't really understand how such a spread could have formed in the calculations. Apparently, they didn't. Whoever came himself said, like, I died, mark, please - that was recorded. And those who died under the rubble and could not throw off half of the house to write in the journal, those were apparently forgotten.

An amusing detail: how specially Giuseppe Verdi's opera Aida was shown in Messina these days. It is believed that there were at least 50K more people in the city than there were. They say they were theatergoers from all the remote areas of the district.

Well yes. Why not believe?

We all know, these famous Italian goat herders, whom you cannot feed with bread, let them join the high. From the most remote corners of the run. With goats overweight.

There is another explanation for so many destruction and casualties.

Greedy Messinians built their houses without looking back at the seismic instability of the area. Used small stone in buildings and diluted cement in mortar for masonry. To top it all, they disdained about transverse, load-bearing beams, but at the same time they refused to build houses less than 4-5 floors. A heavy tiled roof with decorative cornices was laid on top. After all, greedy people save money on the walls and ceilings, but they do not skimp on decor.

Messina before the incident.

Another funny detail: the careless Messinians have been making such fragile buildings since 1873. After all, that year, they had to rebuild the city from scratch.

Image of the shaking 1873. Some saw here the result of the bombing and almost modern missiles. I did not see anything, I have a military specialty - radio relay communications, and there is not a single tower here

Can you guess after what? Aha! After a massive earthquake that razed the city to the ground because the Messinians were greedy and diluted the cement … can I not repeat the previous paragraph?

Do these buildings seem flimsy to you?

Take another look. I alone have the impression that after 1873, Messina was rebuilt one to one, as in medieval paintings?

Well, and, of course, all this antique architecture of St. Petersburg-Roman, substitute any city older than 100-150 years.

Wikipedia describes in detail the pictures of the death of the rich and the leaders of the city. As if the historians were standing nearby. Like angels of death.

Again, a funny detail: the bulk of the victims are wealthy people with a high position. They died, almost all. The upper floors, fastened with low-quality cement, fell on them. Poor people, those who apparently spent the night in tents with goats, turned out to be luckier. Many survived.

After the night shaking at 7.1 points, for those I managed to jump out of their homes, they staged the second section of the tragedy. It is not for nothing that all fans of drama performances have gathered there.

In order not to catch another stone on the low-quality cement, the frightened residents gathered on the embankment. It was then that the tsunami flew to them. To reinforce the effect, the audience was shown giant waves in three sections. I'm not sure if there were still suffering arts by the third part.

I think that the opera in Messina was played with all the money. The ticket paid off with interest.

At the same time, in parallel, an even more interesting event took place, which, of course, must be considered separately. It in itself is quite valuable. Sometime later, be sure.

From 1907 to 1909, the Great White American Fleet roamed the world as part of a round-the-world regatta.

There is nothing in the world more peaceful and friendly than a huge marine fleet in the roadstead.

14,000 sailors, 16 warships and many small servicemen. Officially, it was a peace mission and a showcase. Like, look, the US has a navy.

Many were so happy about this event that in honor of the entry into the port of this flotilla, they built triumphal arches, hung up welcoming banners and, as they say, threw caps into the air. What caused such a stormy joy is not clear now for the Americans themselves. Especially those who gaze intently at the past.

Arches, probably, are not only for the meetings of their victorious army, but also, perhaps, a foreign one?

When the terrible happened, this squadron was just nearby and instantly sent several of its ships to help.

In addition to the Americans, our Russian ships were also nearby. We, just then, were rebuilding the fleet after Tsushima and conducted exercises in warm waters. Our heroic sailors, even earlier than the Americans, landed to help the victims.

Tsarevich, Makarov and one more, then I will add. All, by the way, combat. There were no pleasure yachts in the Mediterranean.

And now, looking at the whole situation, from the height of the past centuries, at one of the American forums they asked themselves a question.

I understand that this may not please those who think that I want to tarnish our glorious history and our heroic sailors. After all, they were later erected monuments (one) and awarded by grateful Italians. But, firstly, this is still only an assumption and mostly fantasy. Secondly, try to always look at the picture of what happened, abstracting from personal likes and dislikes. As if from above, like a divine view of the entire ball at once.

This suspicion arose in conjunction with a huge number of fantastic fires, hurricanes, earthquakes in different parts of the world, which pointwise destroyed entire cities with the architecture of bygone times.

It is clear that this is viewed from the perspective of a paradigm, where a single planetary state (Tartary or whatever else) was destroyed and divided into parts. Subsequently, they became national or federal states.

Based on this, the Americans suggested that the supposedly peaceful campaign of the White Fleet could be nothing more than a clean-up of the remaining centers of resistance. And the same triumphal arches and symbols of the meeting - symbols and recognition of defeat and protectorate.

What I called "funny details" above may well serve as confirmation of this point of view.

If your city collapsed from an earthquake 30 years ago, then when you come to your senses and dare to build something higher than the dugout, most likely you will make sure that it is fastened with high-quality cement and you will attach reinforcing beams with a triple supply.

I do not presume to judge the differences in damage after an earthquake, in comparison with the use of any other weapon.

In what cases does the entire top of society die? Selective earthquakes of particular precision, that's fine, but usually the elite are exterminated when territory is conquered.

Why could all the inhabitants of the surrounding villages flock to the city? To the opera? Not funny. But to defend their territory, very much even. By the way, don't forget, this is Sicily. Even now, they are not too inclined towards the central government.

Purely Stalingrad. Do not mistake it for sacrilege.

Even more amusing details for you: newspaper articles about the incident have not survived. As if everything was accidentally, somewhere, as usual, burned down. But American activists dug up titles in the copyright register. They're even funnier !!!

It was decided to spit on Messina and act as with Pompey and Heraklion - not to restore. Let it lie in ruins.

Do not, forget that less than a week has passed and, as it were, they are trying to get people, like. A strange statement.

Comparison with Pompeii also looks good. Has it happened recently? Like it was yesterday. Let's do it too - not in the first one. Usually prehistoric parallels are not referred to.

The next morning (sober up?) They came to their senses and changed their minds.

Here, even Americans are confused about their English. Either we are talking about a sentry gun, which was officially invented only in 1973, or we are talking about a sentry in an occupied city. I'll leave it to you for your own research.

It speaks directly about the bombing of Messina. Well, so that no one has any doubts.

Image

You can dig some more.

As another possible reason, information about the Treasures of Messina has been extracted.

Image

We studied various photographs and came to the conclusion that the locals in them look more like resigned to fate after being defeated in a battle, and not after tremors of tectonic plates.

Image
Image

What is called - "women, old people and children." Perhaps the men are clearing the rubble. Probably no.

Found a photograph taken from an American ship. He allegedly was in a hurry to help. They came to the conclusion that the smoke has not yet dispersed and the dust from the destroyed buildings has not settled. This means that the ships were already there at the time of the tragedy.

Is it still smoking or not?

In connection with these events and suspicions, the poem "Retribution" by Blok, our Alexander, does not look allegorically so poetically.

Twentieth century … even more homeless, The haze is even worse than life

(Even blacker and bigger

Shadow of Lucifer Wing).

Smoky sunset fires

(Prophecies about our day)

Terrible and tailed comets

A terrible ghost above

Messina's ruthless end

(The elemental forces cannot be overcome)

And the relentless roar of the car

Forging doom day and night

Consciousness of a terrible deception

All the old small thoughts and beliefs, And the first takeoff of an airplane

To the desert of unknown spheres …

And disgust for life

And mad love for her, And passion and hatred for the motherland …

And black, earthly blood

Promises us, inflating veins, All destroying the boundaries

Unheard of change

Unprecedented riots …

What is the man? - Behind the roar of steel, On fire, in gunpowder smoke, What fiery gave

Have you opened your eyes?

What is the constant grinding of machines?

Why - propeller, howling, cuts

Is the fog cold - and empty?

But, he is recognized as crazy here, right? Why listen to him?

In the meantime, it turned out that in addition to the aforementioned victims in Messina, the island of Lipari sank and then surfaced. The truth is already without 28,000 inhabitants.

This is opposite Messina. She, I remind you, is on the coast of Sicily.

I can hardly summarize here and explain what actually happened. There are too many oddities for the position of official history. The alternative, with reduced chronology, also explains nothing. In the version with a single state and its fragmentation into parts, so far, in principle, there is no integral picture. Only assumptions.

The American comrades, too, are in confusion, but lean towards man-made seismic and the rest of the "natural" destructive force. A type of climatic weapon.

How and by whom it was used is not clear. But it seems that the Russian and American navies were standing there to oversee the fulfillment of the assigned tasks.

Then, they were looking for something. Whether or not they were found is unclear.

In the first photo, it seems, ours.

Everything rests on motivation, which is naturally absent in the official version of history and which is not yet on the surface in all known chronological ones.

The first two photos, in my opinion, were taken in the process. Just what?

I would be glad to hear your suggestions and comments.

PS Based on the results of viewing the photos, I formed some assumptions and questions. They take a little away from Messina itself, so I'll tell you about them next time.
