You know, I found an interesting book here. Not an original beginning, right? Moreover, he did not even find it himself, but read about it in the blog of some regular historical revisionist. Like me, yeah.

The blogger advised to pay attention to an entertaining quote. There she is:

More diverse and worthy gods
More diverse and worthy gods

More diverse and worthy gods.

Of course, I rode through the libraries and brought two versions to me - Russian and the original Italian.

Meet Leon Battista Alberti “Ten Books on Architecture” (De re aedificatoria) (1452).

It turned out to be such a fascinating reading that I woke up only at four in the morning, having read the first volume of the 1935 edition. Hello liberal historians.

I, as it were, have long been interested in all sorts of historical inconsistencies, blunders and fakes, which are always in the assortment of historians for the philistine who hung his ears, but this book exceeded all my expectations.

Promotional video:

I have never seen such an uncluttered humanitarian idiocy. At first I even thought that I was reading someone's feuilleton, a humoresque based on the original composition. Well, a person in the 15th century, being in the paradigm of official history, cannot, in all seriousness, talk about polytheism. Checked the texts and precipitated.

Yes, I had a low opinion of the discipline of history, did not consider it a science, and cringed when someone in my presence called himself a historian. But despite the bloopers, illogicality, contradictions and juggling with facts, I believed that historians, dishonest cunning crooks, but not clinical idiots. I'm afraid now I will reconsider my opinion.

Having made sure that I was reading the canonical text, and not an edition from a parallel universe, I climbed to see who this wonderful man of the Renaissance was, who had crowds of gods running around, countless temples were being built for each of them and, in general, it seems that antiquity was not 1,500 years ago, and ten minutes ago, and Plato just went out to the store for more.

It turns out that Mr. Alberti is not a marginal writer trying to get into the historical perspective from oblivion, but a well-known respected and authoritative scientist. Renaissance pioneer of new knowledge, advanced mathematician, philosopher, linguist and builder.

Historical "science" has no disagreements with him. Disputes about his person, if they are conducted, then there are only two points of view - Alberti is great or Alberti is very great.

No one doubts his reality, life in the designated time frame, and this despite the fact that he is the author of a heap of works on the most different, diametrically opposite areas of medieval human life.

The most interesting thing is that before getting into Alberti, I read a four-volume book about modern construction at the end of the nineteenth century and, in general, was aware of what Leon Battiste was talking about in his treatise.

Here we must immediately make a reservation, in my (as well as later authors) understanding of construction, only partly related to art. Basically, this is a harsh materials science coupled with mathematics and other natural sciences. It is good, of course, to have a carved outbuilding for eye pleasure, you can discuss the advantages of the Ionic, Doric and Corinthian capitol for a long time, but if you do not apply the correct calculation to the column, then very soon the tenants of the second floor will fall on your head.

And so all 500 pages
And so all 500 pages

And so all 500 pages.

Recognized by historians, Alberti's genius in his 10 books on construction in mathematics put bold and with an instrument.

Page after page he described funny stories from the life of the Greeks and Romans, told how an honest polytheist should behave among his own kind, how to arrange idols and idols in temples, what sacrifices to offer them. He went into multi-page verbiage on detached topics and only occasionally touched the very topic of construction. As for the formulas, they seemed to him an unnecessary factor in the theory of urban planning and he devoted only 3 pages out of 500 to the calculations.

Most of all, it sounded like a humanist undertook to retell that four-volume edition of the 19th century, which I have already mentioned.

I can imagine what kind of houses this verbiage built. But Wikipedia claims that he is involved in several rather famous and large-scale buildings in Rome and, in general, Europe.

When I read that Alberti spent most of his life (30 years) in the Vatican in the papal office, my jaw dropped. It was here that I realized that a historian is not a profession, not a vocation, but a diagnosis.

Some of them had to strangle Alberti with their own hands. Or renounce Christianity. The full title of the Pope is bishop of Rome, viceroy of Jesus Christ, successor to the prince of the apostles, supreme pontiff (high priest) of the ecumenical Church, patriarch of the West, primate of Italy, archbishop and metropolitan of the Roman province, monarch of the state-city of the Vatican, slave of God's servants.

1,200 years have passed since Constantine, the Roman Emperor, converted to Christianity. In the courtyard there is a “suffering Middle Ages”, where if you are without a cross on your chest, it means with a knife in your belly. According to official historians, the whole world does nothing but build churches and pray.

Do you know how many times in 500 pages, which describe not just buildings, but also monuments, the construction of churches, their arrangement, I met the name of your Lord Jesus Christ? No, bl … db, I have never met.

Moses skimmed twice, a couple of times the Jews looked around the corner, David surfaced once and Solomon rushed about his business in haste.

But Zeus, Apollo, Bacchus, Aphrodite, Venus and the rest of the pantheon of antiquity crowd on every page, mentioned through a paragraph and pretends that he is in charge here and has never heard of other gods.

What, historians will say here that it was so fashionable? Or will they tell how Battista wrote in Aesopian language, in allegorical allusions? Hmm … Aesop, by the way, ran. There in general, in addition to fictional divine personalities, is very richly strewn with real historical characters. Unlike the gods, they have the adjective “ancient” before them, but the impression is different. Maybe “ancient” then meant “recent”? Oh, historians?

So that you can share with me the divine (plural) a @ # th of this piece, I offer you some quotes. Not all of them are about inconsistencies with the official history, some are simply beautiful in themselves, without a time reference.

This is one of the illustrations in Alberti's book. In reality, in this form, they should have found the Pope after reading such a non-Christian work of their employee. I mean, of course, the rope and the noose, not the daddy's sex change

As you can imagine, I have not cited even a tenth of the pagan splendor that the most famous book of a responsible Vatican worker sparkles with, the period of the most severe Christian pressure on the world.

On the one hand, I'm glad. So everything is correct and Christ was introduced quite recently. On the other hand, I am also glad, because if this book is not considered a fake, then the entire logical line of the official chronology goes straight to … the altar to the pagan gods.

But I am always sad to look at human stupidity, which, although habitually endless, as Einstein argued, leaves an unpleasant aftertaste every time. This is me, of course, about historians, historical science, as well as, unfortunately, about everyone who adheres to it.
