For many modern space explorers and supporters of the theory of the presence of aliens on Earth, it still remains an insoluble mystery why the United States and the USSR in the last century suddenly ceased to be interested in the Moon.
One of the most widespread versions is that both of them encountered aliens on the Moon, who "politely asked" the earthlings to get away. However, in this case, the desire of modern society, both American and Russian, to begin to conquer an artificial satellite of the Earth again becomes incomprehensible.
For example, the need to build a human settlement on the Moon in the near future has already been announced more than once by Roscosmos. China, India and many other leading countries of the world are also showing great interest in this.
Now the United States of America has again turned its gaze to the once forgotten by them Selena. According to the Wall Street Journal, US Vice President Mike Pence announced the signing of an order to rebuild the National Space Council.
America must once again become a leader in space exploration and, first of all, the Moon, Pence said, because, unfortunately, at the present time it is not we, but such players as Russia and China, who are leaders in this area. In the coming years, we must build a permanent settlement on the moon under the flag of the United States, this is America's first strategic task in space exploration!
Recall that in August of this year, approximately the same words were said by former NASA astronaut Chris Hadfield, who emphasized that the first step that humanity must take today is to create a settlement on its natural satellite, and only then extend interests further - to Mars. Venus and so on.
Interestingly, ufologists and conspiracy theorists exclaim, how is this to be understood? Didn't the Americans learn anything from previous flights to the moon? Or did these flights simply not exist, as some researchers of this "shameful page" in US space exploration claim?
And yet, there were some reasons, and very serious ones, for the termination of the colonization of the Moon in the last century. And if so, then why suddenly a new surge of interest in this topic?
