The greatest successes of earthlings are associated with the natural satellite of the Earth.
The moon was destined to become a space object, with which most of the most effective and impressive successes of earthlings beyond the borders of the planet are associated. It is not surprising that at the Moscow Institute of Biomedical Problems, 5-year experiments are beginning to carry out the second manned flight to the moon. The first experiment is planned to last eighteen days, the second one will last four months, and the next one will last for eight months. The experiment involves astronaut candidates and NEC modules. These will be special hermetically sealed barrels, thanks to which they will create the atmosphere of the Moon's atmosphere. In addition, the PKK, which is being built specifically for a future flight to a natural satellite of the Earth, will make bedrooms for a crew of six people - three women and men.
Specifically, the study of the moon has been engaged since the start of the Soviet lunar program. Namely on January 2, 1959, when the Luna-1 AS for the first time in the history of space exploration flew to a natural earth satellite, passing five thousand kilometers from it and going into orbit around the Sun, it became the 1st artificial planet Dream. At that time, they found out that there is no magnetic field on the moon.
Two months later, the American Pioneer-4 flew sixty thousand kilometers from the earth's satellite and also entered heliocentric orbit. In September of the same year, "Luna-2" first reached the surface of the moon. On September 14, the place of its fall in the Sea of Rains was named the Lunnik Bay, and almost a month later, Luna-3 took the first time off the other side of the earth's satellite, and on October 7, two-thirds of the lunar hemisphere, invisible from Earth, transmitted a photo to the planet by radio.
An attempt by the Americans with the help of Ranger-3 to film the moon was crowned with failure, the station flew 36.7 thousand km from a natural earth satellite. Three months later, another failure of the AU followed, fell on the other side of the Moon, but still, Ranger-4 was the first in the United States to reach a natural earth satellite. But Ranger-5 was unlucky enough to even get closer to the solar orbit 725 km from the Moon.
In April 1963, the already Soviet "Luna-4", the first station of the second generation, designed for soft landing on the moon weighing about a hundred kilograms, did not reach it, having slipped eight and a half thousand kilometers.

This rivalry lasted until 1969, when in the summer of that year, astronauts from the United States triumphantly landed on the moon, ending the primacy. In July 69, Neil Armstrong walked on the lunar surface for the first time in human history. This forced the political opponent - the USSR to put a good face on a bad game - by announcing the priority of space exploration using the AU. But, the tremendous costs of both countries forced both countries to stop funding space exploration. Moreover, this process took place without disclosing the true reasons to society. Therefore, the majority still do not understand the reason for the termination of flights to the natural satellite of the Earth.
The main mystery of the future suspension of flights to the Moon was the canceled scheduled launch of the Saturn-5 launch vehicle. And this is in spite of the planned mission "Apollo-18", as well as the training of the main and backup crew. It is known that secrets give rise to many misinterpretations and conjectures, most of which are completely far from reality.
So there are three versions of the termination of flights: the astronauts have never been to the lunar surface (all were filmed in a special pavilion at the well-known base 51 in Nevada); the second version says that the final mission was a 1976 flight of a joint Soviet-American group on Apollo 20 with the participation of cosmonaut Alexei Leonov. That expedition managed to find a crashed alien aircraft on the moon not only with an unknown weapon, but also with its principle of operation; and the final assumption was that at the time of the 2nd lunar expedition to Apollo 2, US astronauts discovered a UFO, with inadequate interest in the spacecraft sent from Earth. The first version is quite attractive for shooting mysticism and can be completely dishonored by the 6-fold presence of US astronauts on the moon, while the other two at least somehow characterize the refusal to fly under the Apollo program.
The Roswell incident forced the United States to classify any data on connections with aliens and other cultures found and their technologies. Despite the expiration of the limitation period for secrecy, most of the data on such connections are not disclosed to the public. But in the case of an obvious discovery of traces of the presence of aliens on the moon, the actions of the United States aimed at suspending further flights become clear.
Hence the termination of all NASA programs with regards to lunar exploration. Although it is not specifically clear why not only the Americans stopped flights, but this was done in other countries as well. With the aim of flying to the moon, Soviet scientists and engineers, led by academician Sergei Korolev, created the N-1 carrier rocket. But two accidents at the start and the already carried out landing of an astronaut on an earth satellite in 1974 led to the recognition of the irrelevance of flights and the termination of such studies, despite the considerable expenses already incurred.
And if we talk about other states, then by and large at that time, apart from the USA and the USSR in the 70s, none of them could either financially or technologically implement the lunar programs, albeit with minimal costs. The main thing turned out to be the lag of others technically and the lack of adequate resources.
In this case, it is possible to consider the most plausible version of the version that the termination of flights to the US moon can somehow be explained by the achieved goal and proven economic and technological superiority, at the same time, continuing the flight would not be a justified step. But the USSR, not having won priority and in connection with regular financial problems, considered it preferable to study the Moon using less expensive ALS by delivering Lunokhodov to the earth satellite.
