Recently, on our site there was a material about "The classified" molecular engine "of Jean Marsol, which brought death to the creator," at the end of which there was a video. He demonstrated the work of a molecular engine, but not Marsol, but Yu. S. Potapov. Apparently it's time to take a closer look at it.

Potapov Y. S., doctor of technical sciences, academician, member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, or a swindler and a swindler, it is difficult to understand. Facts. In the early 2000s, a number of media published a number of publications about Potapov's discoveries - "Cavitation heat generator", "Heat generators: technology of the XXI century", etc. It is also worth noting: in 1995 he received a patent N 2045715 "Heat generator and device for heating liquids" (3 years after the filing of the application).

Ranke tube.

Yuri Semenovich began his development in the late 80s of the twentieth century in Chisinau. And in the process of developing firefighters a compact device for cooling firefighting suits "came out" for invention. This was the beginning of experiments with the Ranke tube, which led to the appearance of Potapov's thermal device.

Since 1993, YUSMAR has been manufacturing heat generators and selling them. By the way, RSC Energia im. SP Koroleva checked the YUSMART installations and confirmed that the heat is really more than the input of mechanical energy from the pump motor (and he was the only energy consumer "from outside").

At the beginning of 2000, the Teplo XXI century company offered industrial samples of Potapov's hydrodynamic thermal pump, which had passed tests and received all production permits. Moreover, the developers "guaranteed" the efficiency of the device over 100% and a reduction in heating costs from 3 to 7 times). Pump videos:

But more interesting things. In 2005, the news went through the media and the Internet that in Izhevsk, at the "Plant im. VA Degtyarev "are ready to assemble an even more interesting mechanism: a fuel-free molecular engine that requires only air for operation. The mechanism was developed based on the work of Yu. S. Potapov in the design bureau at the plant. In the same year, St. Petersburg's "Laboratory of New Technologies Faraday" purchased the main components of the mechanism for the construction of a working model with a capacity of 37 kW. No data could be found about these tests.

According to information from the developers, their molecular engine worked completely autonomously, with the recuperation of a part of the generated energy for its own needs. It is environmentally friendly and can be used in any industry - from transport to heating or electricity stations. The plant was ready to produce power plants from 5-50 to 200-1000 kW. Energy for the consumer is generated by converting the energy of the environment, which occurs in a vortex process with specially calculated parameters.

There are even technical characteristics of the megawatt version: Generator type - SG 99M1-12. Voltage, V - 380-400. Frequency, Hz - 50. Rated power, kVA / kW - 1276/1088. Power plant operation resource, hours - 70,000. Overall dimensions and weight: length, mm - 4528; width, mm - 2980; height, mm - 2450; weight, kg - 19540. The efficiency was indicated as 0.8, but at the same time it was specified that the autonomous mode requires 30-15% of the received energy to be spent on the power plant's own needs, but the remaining 70-85% on the needs of the consumer.

Unfortunately, at this interesting place … the information ends. And what is happening with these mechanisms today - there is no data. Absolutely. And nothing new could be found about Yuri Semenovich Potapov himself. On the web, of course, there is a lot of evidence and refutation of his invention, attempts to reproduce mechanisms, etc. But can all this be believed?
