Adolf Hitler's suicide was proven in the 2000s using an unknown X-ray. Vasily Khristoforov, chief researcher at the Institute of Russian History, RAS, told RIA Novosti.

According to him, at that time an American professor arrived at the FSB Central Archives. He asked to see fragments of the Fuhrer's jaw stored in the archive. “And suddenly, unexpectedly for the staff of the archive, he took out of his portfolio an X-ray of the jaw taken during Hitler's life,” Khristoforov said.

This photograph has been secretly kept in the archives of the American intelligence services since the end of World War II. A US researcher carefully compared it to the jaw and confirmed that everything was the same. “If the results did not coincide, I think there would have been a stir. And so he left, and the information about this visit was not passed anywhere,”the representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences noted.

Khristoforov also noted that the popular hypothesis about Hitler's flight to Latin America is supported only by the testimony of people who died or may have been invented.

In October 2017, the CIA declassified the testimony of one of its informants. He claimed that the former SS man Philip Citroen met after the end of World War II with Hitler, who was hiding in Colombia under the name Schrittelmeier.

According to the official version, Adolf Hitler, along with his wife Eva Braun, committed suicide on April 30, 1945 in Berlin during the storming of the German capital by Soviet troops. Their bodies were burnt in the garden of the Reich Chancellery.
