The documented facts of the appearance of unidentified objects in the military archives indicate that UFOs (and not only aerial ones) played the role of a serious factor in international politics in the 70-80s of the XX century.
According to coastal services, in just two months in 1986, Soviet submarines invaded Swedish territorial waters 16 times, Scandinavian newspapers reported. Soviet submarines secretly penetrate the fjords and skerries of Norway in order to find out the secrets of the NATO combat fleet, they stressed. However, all attempts to find at least one Soviet submarine did not lead to anything. Objects that coastal authorities and the press talked about as if phantoms were elusive.
Conversations about the "underwater hand of Moscow" continued, tension increased. This is how Vladimir Chernavin, Commander-in-Chief of the USSR Navy in 1985-1991, described the hunt for "Soviet boats":
“Having received a signal from the coastal services that there was a foreign submarine in some bay, and, naturally, there could be no question of any other boat except the Soviet one, the Norwegians blocked this bay with chains. The calculation was clear: sooner or later the boat would have to surface and thus reveal itself or try to escape from the trap. But nothing of the kind happened, - said Vladimir Nikolaevich. - Then they went to last resort: NATO ships began to bomb their own bay with depth charges. There was no living space in the bay. But this was also of little use. Our boats were not there, because … it could not be."
Left after the bombing "without a catch", the Scandinavians carefully examined the bottom. However, no wreckage of Soviet submarines was found. So who was the "hooligan" in the territorial waters of the northern states?
"Plates" covered the glowing ellipse
NATO archives declassified today report the following. On one of those already distant autumn days, the coastal services of Norway once again discovered underwater intruders in their territorial waters. They did not react to warning signals, did not get in touch, and generally behaved extremely defiantly. Then the Norwegians and NATO ships took radical measures - they began to bomb their tourist pearl - the 200-kilometer Sognefjord with depth charges.

And then the incredible happened. The intruder appeared above the surface of the water. But this was not the cabin of a submarine cruiser with a hammer and sickle on the hull. A strange object in the form of a luminous ellipse emerged from the depths with incredible speed. Then events took a completely unexpected turn. In the sky suddenly appeared yellow and green unidentified flying objects of a saucer shape, and at the fjord itself - mysterious black aircraft without identification marks. At the highest speeds, they performed unthinkable maneuvers, simulating attacks on NATO ships.
A few minutes later, all the electronics of NATO ships went out of order. And the unidentified objects left the bay safe and sound, dissolving over the horizon.
"Ultrasmart" torpedo struck … emptiness
After such an inglorious bombing of their own shores, the Norwegian authorities and NATO were forced to declare: this time there were not Soviet submarines. It was then at the official level that the version was first announced that unidentified objects of artificial origin appeared on the Scandinavian coast.
In order to finally stop talking about a "Soviet invasion", the command of the USSR Navy forbade our submarines to approach foreign territorial waters closer than 50 kilometers. This order was strictly carried out, but the underwater ghosts continued to annoy the Scandinavians. In the press there were pictures of strange footprints found on the bottom of the Baltic Sea off the coast of Sweden. They began to say that they were being abandoned by some ultra-small Soviet submarine-tanks that move along the seabed on tracks.
The Soviet Union and NATO again found themselves on the brink of a serious conflict. And then Admiral Chernavin, with the consent of the country's top leadership, convened an emergency press conference and made a sensational statement for Western journalists. “… I appeal to you and through you to your government with a request that you catch our submarine, destroy and present its remains to the international community,” he said. “If you destroy at least one Soviet submarine in your waters, I, the Commander-in-Chief of the Military "By the Navy of the Soviet Union, I will thank you for doing this."
But even after that, the invasions of the "underwater Martians" did not stop. In November 1986, the Norwegian coastal intelligence reported another violation of the sea border by an unknown object. To destroy it, it was decided to use NATO's main trump card - a top-secret US Navy torpedo.
“The most modern torpedo made in the USA was launched to destroy this underwater target,” commented Vladimir Nikolayevich Chernavin. "But an ultra-precise," super-smart "torpedo fired at a" Soviet submarine "struck … emptiness."
The mystery of the Pacific disaster
Further events developed unpredictably. Having finally lagged behind our submariners, the Swedish parliament in 1995 created a special commission of prominent scientists. The task is to deal with underwater phantoms. Some of the military information was declassified, and it turned out that the statistics of the detection of unidentified underwater objects is simply amazing: more than 2000 such cases have been registered! One of them, even sketched, reports that the underwater object encountered by the naval sailors did not resemble any known submarine. At the same time in the sky, the report emphasizes, several UFOs of red, purple and green colors were recorded. They moved very quickly and clearly accompanied the "sea guest". Attempts to shoot down at least one air target were unsuccessful.
And one more archive excerpt. In 1964, a similar unidentified object was unexpectedly discovered next to itself in the Pacific Ocean by a US Navy submarine. For some unknown reason, a collision occurred, which resulted in a strong explosion. An underwater vehicle was launched from the escort ship and brought to the surface something that looked like a piece of the "stranger's" skin.
And then the incredible happened. As soon as the rescue operation entered its final phase, acoustics began to report that 15 unknown underwater objects suddenly appeared in the disaster area, each of which had a length of at least 200 meters. They tightly blocked the search area, and when, after a few hours, these objects disappeared, not a single object remained at the crash site. Even the wreckage of a dead American submarine has disappeared. But the analysis of a fragment of the "sea ghost" skin was still done. The composition of the metal was not known to the scientist.
