Residents of the administrative center of Naha claim that a few days ago they witnessed the appearance of mysterious bright lights that hovered in the sky for 15 minutes.
According to the Rocket News24 website, on January 23, 2014 at 9 pm, about a dozen bright orange lights appeared over the largest city in Okinawa Prefecture - Naha. Locals who witnessed the anomaly reported their sightings to the Okinawa Times. Thus, eyewitnesses claimed that they saw "very bright light sources moving along a curve, but it was clearly not an airplane." Also, journalists managed to find out that 10 lights hovered in the air until they united, and then disappeared.
Takeshi Miyaji - director of the observatory located on Ishigaki Island - became interested in the appearance of bright unidentified objects, and, having studied their images, stressed that this phenomenon is clearly "not astronomical in nature."
“It seemed like these lights were just hovering in the sky,” he added.
Some researchers have already proposed a version with the fall of meteorites, but journalists noticed that typical bodies of cosmic origin, sweeping at high speeds, would leave a characteristic strip in the sky. And eyewitness reports indicate that these lights “floated” in the sky for 15 minutes and then disappeared.
The video posted on You Tube demonstrates how scattered luminous objects gradually merged into one chain, and then their light began to softly fade, which did not allow the operator to capture the process of their disappearance. Immediately after the appearance of publications about the appearance of UFOs, representatives of the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces issued a statement according to which on that day all military exercises were completed at 19:20, and could not continue until 21:00.
