Science fiction films show us a near future in which holographic interfaces and communications will be ubiquitous. And although this technology application is still far away, a holographic screen can be purchased today.

Surely many remember how, relatively recently, on the big stage, Freddie Mercury and Tupac Shakur were "resurrected" in the form of a hologram. This, no doubt, a spectacular demonstration still had little to do with distribution to the masses, because the equipment involved in the process was very difficult to maintain and too cumbersome. But more recently, the startup HoloVit from the company of the same name has gone beyond the prototype and is already collecting orders for the delivery of the first batch for everyone on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.

The system is extremely easy to use: it only requires a special transparent screen and a tablet, TV, smartphone or laptop as a projector. You just need to install the projector device at a certain distance from the screen, launch the HoloVit application and, in fact, that's it. The home hologram is ready to use.

Unfortunately, at the moment the system is designed so that any video fragment cannot be used as a hologram. But the developers provide tools for converting video into a format that can be played by HoloVit, and also make it possible to use a video recorded with any camera on a black background as a hologram.

The Indiegogo fundraising campaign will continue for another month. The assortment includes 3 types of screens that differ in diagonal size. The smallest model costs $ 79. Agree, it's not so expensive for a piece of the future to settle in your house right now?
