Hillary Clinton, if she wins the US presidential election, is going to reveal classified materials about UFOs.

The search for aliens is an important part of modern American folklore, which even presidents do not bypass. In fact, in addition to the romantic, this topic has other, more important and quite applied dimensions.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign head John Podesta promised that if his client became president of the United States, she would declassify documents related to UFOs. “I discussed this with Hillary,” John Podesta told reporters. "There are classified materials that should be declassified … I think I convinced her that we need to make an effort to … declassify as much as possible so that people can get answers to their legitimate questions."

This is a very intriguing statement. Mainly, of course, for Americans, for whom the topic of secret contacts with aliens is an important part of folklore. After all, if conspiracy theorists of all other countries can express themselves only through conspiracy theories inspired by the United States, then American conspiracy theorists, although they also like to expose government conspiracies, are still for obvious reasons limited in the scale of their theories. Therefore, their theme of the "American conspiracy" is largely replaced by the search for aliens.

Presidential question

John Podesta worked at one time as chief of staff for Bill Clinton, ex-president of the United States and husband of Hillary Clinton. And already at that time he called on the government to declassify documents on UFOs. Bill Clinton himself did not avoid questions, once admitting that he himself tried to find classified materials on this topic, but he did not find anything.

During his presidency, most of the requests for information disclosure concerned UFOs. During this election campaign, Hillary Clinton has already said that she intends to get to the truth on this issue and, in principle, admits that aliens could visit Earth.

Officially, the US authorities - as, by the way, Russia - deny the existence of the phenomena; however, there are indeed intelligence and government archives in the US, and there are major incidents with a large number of witnesses, the data on which are classified.

Just a few years ago, for example, a sensational lawsuit was concluded in which the Freedom of Information Coalition demanded that NASA disclose its data on the Kexburgh incident. We are talking about the fall of a bright luminous object in Pennsylvania in 1965, which was observed by several thousand people.

Testimony speaks of an acorn-shaped object that was urgently removed by the military in a truck. 40 years later, NASA announced that these were the wreckage of a Soviet satellite, but they doubted this explanation, and the agency itself, despite the binding court decision, in fact never provided any documents related specifically to the case - stating that two boxes of documents were just lost. John Podesta actively supported the plaintiffs in this process and called the court decision "a triumph of open government."

The most famous example in the world is the Roswell incident: in 1947 in the state of New Mexico, something collapsed on a farm, which the government later declared a secret weather balloon, and enthusiasts consider it a flying saucer. As in other similar cases, there were eyewitnesses who talked about the bodies of the dead humanoid aliens.

According to conspiracy theories, the bodies and samples of alien technology are kept under strict secrecy at the real-life Area 51 airbase in Nevada. Bill Clinton, having been there, said that there were no aliens there. Before him, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan (both said that they themselves saw UFOs), and George W. Bush were interested in the topic, and they seemed to find nothing. And in our time, inexplicable phenomena continue to occur, and sometimes authoritative and respected people are witnesses.

Of course, such confessions do not deceive an experienced ufologist: it is understandable that if the authorities hide, they hide it completely and never confess. Every statement of high-ranking politicians on the topic of UFOs is immediately picked up and discussed, because - what if? If something is classified, then it has a basis, isn't it?
