In this article I will talk about a rather interesting artifact, the level of processing of which is difficult to explain by the capabilities of ancient people.

It is located in the Heraklion Museum, like other finds, the most famous of which is the Phaistos disc.

The artifact was discovered at the beginning of the 20th century, during excavations carried out in the remains of the palace, which is located in a small town called Malia.

As for age, questions are already being raised. Archaeologists had no choice but to determine the age of the find, at the approximate age of this very palace, namely about 3,700 years.

That is, the palace dates back to 1700 BC, so the artifact was given exactly the same age. But it is obvious that this is only an assumption and the artifact may be much more ancient.

And the most important thing in the artifact is, of course, the level of processing and just the appearance of the jewelry.

Looking at the pendant, only one thought arises - that this is a modern piece of jewelry, but it is not. In this artifact, everything is done quite accurately and all the small details are worked out almost perfectly.

The artifact cannot be compared with the Feodosia earrings, about which I wrote an article a long time ago, but the fact is that more than 3,000 years ago, they somehow made jewelry similar to modern ones.

And then, apparently, some small details or a level of processing, similar to the modern one, did not cause difficulties for the civilizations that created all this in the past.

In general, the level of processing of ancient jewelry is equated to modern technology standards, but how they did it in the past remains a mystery.

It is likely that the decoration belongs to the civilization of the past, with technologies that are no worse than modern ones, but what kind of civilization it was and when it could have existed is unknown.
