The first encounters with mysterious objects in the sky began during the Second World War and date back to 1942. Then the planes of almost all the belligerent countries met and fired at unknown glowing balls in the air. Komi aviation has been for over seventy years. Naturally, UFOs did not fly around our aces either.
Chasing invisibility
One of the collisions with a strange celestial object occurred on June 9, 1986. When the object was 500 meters away, communication with the ground was lost. The dispatcher did not respond to our requests. All of a sudden, the connection was restored, the excited voice of the dispatcher announced that the object was behind us at a distance of 500 meters. We replied that we did not see anything, requested an approach and made it safely. Arriving at the control room, we learned that when the object was 500 meters away, the marks disappeared from the locator screen, it was clean. We did not answer the calls, and everyone on the ground was scared. “It turns out that instead of deploying the aircraft, we brought them together,” the dispatcher said in a voice trembling with excitement. “And suddenly I see: marks appeared on the screen again, but you were already 500 meters ahead of this UFO!”
Flooded with light
Vladimir Makarenkov, a former pilot himself, also met miracles in the sky: “On the night of August 30, 1996,” he told the Red Banner, “we flew on a Tu-134 Krasnodar-Moscow plane at an altitude of 10 thousand meters. At about 22 o'clock we heard a conversation with the ground of the Tu-154 crew, flying not far from us. The pilot asked the Penza dispatcher: "Do you see a" light "on your radar? The dispatcher replied: "On the radar, except for yours, there is no" light ".

We continued our flight and suddenly noticed the light pouring from above. Its brightness increased with each passing minute. Then we saw a luminous object above us. The light source, the contours were really difficult to define. The height is about 50-70 kilometers. We flew at a speed of 900 km / h and watched him for about five minutes. The direction of movement of the strange object completely coincided with the course of our aircraft. Its height did not change. The illumination spread over a sector of about 120-140 degrees and occupied a very large area, about 10 kilometers on either side of the axis. It resembled a fluorescent lamp in brightness.
I also contacted the dispatcher (at that moment we were flying over Nizhny Novgorod), asked if there was a "light" on his radar. Did not have. I asked the onboard navigator to look at our onboard locator, but he also did not find anything. The co-pilot Anatoly Kabakov and flight mechanic Misha Pozdeev claimed that it was a UFO flying. I nevertheless considered that this is the creation of human hands. However, I could not explain to myself how it is possible to illuminate such a huge space, what a source of energy should be in order to do this.
It is curious that no distortion of the readings of the instrumental and radar equipment occurred."
Is Pera the first astronaut?
However, the very first meetings in the sky with bright lights are mentioned in the mythology of the Komi people. One of the versions of the myth about the first man tells that Parma (taiga) gave birth to a young man who was named Pera. Pera, having made himself a bow and arrow, became the master of the land and forest. One day, going down to the river, he saw a rainbow that drank water from it. For permission to get drunk, Pera asked to lift him behind the clouds. Rising upward with the help of the rainbow, Pera saw the "firmament of the Lord" and many lights, and in the middle the largest fire was Shondi (the Sun).
Pera decided to take some of this fire and lower it to Earth, but when he approached Shondi, he was thrown back from him by thunder and flashing lightning. After that, Pera found himself on the clouds in a golden sleigh pulled by a silver horse, next to a beautiful girl. This was Shondi's daughter named Zaran. She got up in the morning before the Sun, and in the evening she went to bed later and made sure that the Shondi-fire did not burn anyone. Pera and Zaran fell in love and went down to live on Earth.
This is a myth not only about heavenly fires, but also about how an earthly person enters into a relationship with an unearthly girl. The myths of different nations and the stories of people who allegedly had contact with aliens abound in similar stories.
