A team of UFO researchers from Manitoba was unable to identify the object's covert appearance in the sky over Prince Edward Island on the second day of Christmas

The long, smoking spiral was captured on video by Tony and Marie Quigley from North Tryon. Researchers in Manitoba have digitally zoomed in images, were able to isolate meteors, satellites and airplanes, but found no explanation for what the Quigley family captured on the video.

Chris Rutkowski, who heads the Winnipeg Center for UFO Research, says Quigleys are one of hundreds of Canadians who see something in the sky every year that defies explanation. “They witnessed a very interesting phenomenon and became one of hundreds of Canadian people who see UFOs every year,” he said. "They were lucky enough to capture something really impressive."

Only a third of unidentified flying objects get an explanation. This incident will be reflected in the group's annual report in a couple of weeks.

Environment Canada and the Transportation Security Administration also reviewed the video, but were unable to explain the phenomenon. The best possible explanation for this might be that some jet fighter was dumping fuel.
